Probably the Wilson's Bird of ParadiseBy the way, "Male Peacock" is redundant. The word "COCK" automatically suggests that it's a male. The actual name of the bird is Pea Foul. The MALE is called a Pea COCK and the FEMALE is called a Pea HENIt's okay. Few people know this.
Ok. Noted. He's got a little hat! And his feet are blue. And look at that curly moustache tail. And the strange feather spread down the spine. Wow.
Over-dressed for every occassion.
I'm going to have to say the ocellated turkey.
Wow! I've never seen that. And I've seen a tonne of animal documentaries. He's not getting enoough PR. That's amazing. They could base so many manmade products off of him. Gorgeous.
Yeah he's a pretty bird for sure. They're kinda rare tho
Cephea Jellyfish, credits in the photo. And also the Akhal-Teke horses. They seem like they are coated in silk... considered by some the "super models" of horses.
That horse is a revelation
Most sea creatures!OarfishHorn Shark Egg (not animal? okay 😆)Portuguese Man of War
Well you definitely win on obscure choices!
Fortunately I able to see peacocks almost every week. They literally live here. From my home I can see male peacocks with their wide spread beautiful wings on the Aravali mountain range. They're soooooo beautiful to see up close with their wings spread but unfortunately I can see that only just before monsoon season. They make a very lound voice welcome rain when it's monsoon season. I would love to see wolves too. They're amazing. Look at the pic...
They sure are warm for sleeping though.
@SydneySentinel https://images.app.goo.gl/1SqxMGqzgGBSgi1u8I want one of these.
Ah, an OG Star Wars fan eh? Me too. When I was just a few years old, walking up my home street (where a lot of little boys lived) I found an abandoned tautaun lying on the ground. I was so happy. He was awesome.
I, too, agree with the peacock.tse1.mm.bing.net/thEither that or the golden pheasent tse1.mm.bing.net/th
The human ape. We come in so many colors and shapes. No other animal can do what a human can do.We are fat, tall, short, skinny. Eyes different colors brown, blue, green and moreAre skin even comes in different colors. Same with hair or fur depending on how much you have. Some have body fur everywhere and some have none.So the human ape is the most visually striking animal? We came from something like this news.nationalgeographic.com/.../...dapt.1900.1.jpgTo where we are now. Now thats versatile and adaptable
PANGOLIN!They are a ligit pokemon... They are my favorite!
Lol. Wha? He looks so cute and contemplative, standing on two legs.
I really love the feel of bioluminescence. Here's a Firefly Squid.
The Manderin Fish came to mind :
That’s incredible. Wow.
I'm never able to pick just one thing.Peacocks and some other kinds of colorful birds are at the top of my list. So are some wild felines like tigers, servals, etc.Horses, of course.
A horse is a horse, of course, of course... :-) ;-)
I like Wolves they are my favorite animal.
That colouring is stunning, eh. Mmm mmm.
Thanks yes i love Wolves
The peacock... spider!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d_yYC5r8xMI
Wha? He’s got a lot of bags of tricks up his sleeve, eh?
I think for me it'd be the bearded vulture. These things use makeup. They use the reddest dirt or clay they can find and use it to stain their feathers as a status symbol.
White bengal tigers. So beautiful
Puffins are pretty cute
Saw them in real life, its insane how fast they fly with their wings.
Nice photo you chose. @sawno Interesting. They do not look like they’d be aerodynamic. I wonder why they’re shaped that way?
Certain Fairy Wrasse.
Woo hoo. Gorgeous! Thanks for posting.
I really like shimmering insects like emerald beetles. The loud sound they give off while flying is impressive and their green body is beautiful. Sadly I only get to see them when I visit my grandma since they don't show up at all where I live
Hummingbird. They are so small, and so elegant, and like they almost defy physics, flapping that fast, and polinating flowers! Cute little buggers too, with nice colors!
Leafy sea dragon. Any picture speaks for itself.
I want a Friesian horse and call him Zeus or Ares. I love those names D: Apollo is a gorgeous name for a Friesian too.
Is that a puppy really in front, or is that superimposed?
Mantis shrimp. I don't have an image, but it's one of the most amazing animals in the ocean.
Damn, you beat me to it. I was going to say mantis shrimp too.
Yes!! Totally crazy right?
Good pick.@sydneysentinel Omg that video might be the funniest nature commentary I have ever heard. I’m totally saving that to my comedy favourites playlist.
@AmandaYVR There are so many good ones! Fun facts. I wish I could share them with my class!
Horses. They look strong amd elegant.
Wow, they're blue?
No they can change colors.
Or maybe girrafes
Tigers are so amazing to watch. Stingrays are so majestic.
I have my own pics of a glass wing... Um yeah... I was going to say something inappropriate but doesn't seem appropriate now
A fit woman in heels, cocktail dress & wide brim hat.
Sporting cobra. It strikes at your visuals.I'll let myself out.
I'm giving you a point for "I'll let myself out". That was very very clever.
Wow that’s a particularly badass looking one, with the ridgeback.
He is a good hunter. Leaves scars in dogs and other animals. 3 liggeds , one eyeds , no tail... Lol real badass.
A peacock is always male. That's why it's called a peacock and not a peahen :-)My pick is a Scarlet Macaw or a Toucan.
Oh. My. God. I don’t like snakes. They’re so sneaky and they eat their pray live in such an awful way. But you just blew my mind with that picture. Why is he so damn pretty? How is that helpful for camouflage? Is he really venomous?
I'm not sure if I've handled snakes, but I've handled deaf adders (a legless lizard that looks like a snake), and they are kind of amazing to touch, so smooth, so strong. Glad you liked the picture. Don't know what the camouflage is for, unless he's trying to hide in an oil slick. Checked Wikipedia, and apparently, they kill by constricting their prey and aren't venomous. Great thread, by the way. Discovered some beautiful creatures here.
Hahaha. Oil slick. Good one.Yes I’m enjoying this one. Every creature example here is gorgeous in their own way.
Speaking of legless lizards... living where I told you I was... took the garbage out one day and saw a lizard at the base of the bins. I moved the bins... forget why, probably because it was garbage day and had to roll them out to the curb... and I rolled over the lizard accidentally and his leg came off!! I screamed, I felt so bad. He ran off. They don’t grow back do they! I’m really empathetic and I felt queasy thinking about it for ages that day. I wonder if he survived.
I think they do grow back, I'm not sure. Reminds me, there was a seven-legged spider in my bathroom the other day.
I love animals, so this is an extremely difficult Q. I could think of one animal, but then I think 'Well wait a minute! What about this one?'So I CAN'T choose one. Sorry!
Now, if we are talking about alien animals, then this is The Most Visually Striking Animal:Toruk (Leonopteryx rex)www.pandorapedia.com/.../..._leonopteryx_test.htmlhttps://aliens.fandom.com/wiki/Great_Leonopteryx
Damn I think I love the big cats and elephants. They're so majestic and like. Amazing to look at.
Well I love killer whales, apex predators, can eat a great white for breakfast, beautiful creatures. Thery are the terrifying older brother of dolphins.
Tropical birds in general are a safe bet but I think there is something about barn owls' ghost face that just makes me want to keep staring at them.
Eyyy that's me every morning
Wow swipe right
Interesting, eh? There's only this one or more deep water fish which ends up the same when pulled out from the water?
Homo sapiens (female gender)
Hahaha, spot on
Well how can I not thumbs up that one.
@AmandaYVR Lol. Thanks.
That vid is totally Colorado lmao
Oh yeah? I was wondering. Such an odd sight, seeing him walking through there.
yeah it's pretty much suburbs here, it's not unheard of for chicks to be walking their horse down a road, and then the mountains kinda give it away
Leopard, beautiful markings.
What about the male fancy beta? Certainly striking
Certain female celebrities come to mind like Alexandria Daddario with her big blue eyes
Male Peacock probably, it's so unique
a peacock do to its array of colorful feathers
This guy I saw at the gym last week.
Male Mandarin duck and golden pheasant
Lions are so beautiful and majestic
A cat, just any pet cat

Puppies 😍 of any kind 😍
The albino cock
That's a body part
You enjoy it? Lol
@Yammy it's great
How often do you see one? Lol
@Yammy my 1st or second ever the one above
Now I'm confused. LOL!
Butterflies and the Peacock.
Did you watch GOT? What did you think of their dragons?
Game of Thronesblob:https://imgur. com/cef6733b-d391-4f3a-8cf3-f1ec340be355
I only seen 2 episodes of that show but from the pictures they look amazing
I am not a big watcher of the show, but they were given great props for the VFX (and I concur, with the dragons). Check this out...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o-FWbHExno4
