What is something you enjoy doing where efficiency plays no part?
Seems like ever since the Industrial Revolution and automation (?), efficiency has been an integral part of our culture. We are more likely to marvel at technology, and all that machines have done for us (or just to take them for granted), than to deliberately take time to slow down and appreciate a process, a journey, rather than the outcome. At their best, machines alleviate menial tasks so that we can focus on other more important or more enjoyable things. Not everything has to be efficient, goal-oriented. But it seems like we might be losing touch with appreciating the more meaningful, or even sometimes things that appear trivial, but are not, because of a general reliance on automation and efficiency and achieving goals quickly. What if enjoyment, and getting in a state of flow, is the goal, and not getting to the end in the most efficient way possible. How do you enjoy spending your time, where time doesn't matter?

Erik Satie, 'Trois Gymopedies' This song definitely takes its time.
I'm posting this video twice, as an experiment. Once as an embed using the GAG uploader tool (the second one), and once as a link in the body here. I want to see on what platforms they are viewable and clickable. There's a difference whether on mobile or web versions of GAG.
