In some situations you have to though. Don't want kittens. My cat isn't neutered but he also is the only cat there.

Why he isn’t allowed to go outside?
Because outdoor cats like to get themselves in trouble, it's just not worth it.When we do go out, it's on a leash.Of course, it's much easier to do when you have a kitten.Former strays and those that were always allowed to go out will have a hard/impossible time adjusting.But my cat gets bored of the outdoors after 10~20 minutes, and only has a drive to go outside few times a year, so it is easy.
