yeah i got over it too and in some ways it made me the independant thinker i am today anyway

when you get away from materialistic consumerism the cost is often just a pleasure rather than a chore but i agree in this modern rat race what you said is very much the case
I'll make sure to note that
example, while on lockdown i planted a vegetable garden which im sure you must realise cost me in the work i did but that work was a pleasure in that now im seeing loads of fruit and veg appearing. its difficult to imagine working in a job you dont like for crap pay being seen as a pleasure when all you did it for was to buy a new i phone. incidentally my tater plants are doing really well ;)
