Thanks for the opinion, but just to let you know. I'm not arguing against or for generalizing, I just want opnions on it.
Yeah, which is why I wonder why people do it so much.

I agree, since stereotypes are a by product of generalizing.
I'm look for opinions in the matter, not someone to call me out.Don't start shit.
I wasn't starting anything. Just pointing out a fact.Anyway, generalizations happen all the time, so no one should be shocked or surprised by it happening. Of course that doesn't make it correct.
@DrippingHoney I knew someone was going to come out and say that. That's why I made sure to not say "all" people, that way I'm not generalizing.
It's still generalizing, you just aren't being absolutist.
As a real answer to your question, people generalize because it simplifies the decision making process by removing variability. It's dramatically easier to process information when large aggregating assumptions simplify the data.
@DrippingHoney thanks for your actual opinion, that's way better than you trying to make me look like an contradicting asswipe.
I was just playing. Sorry if you took it the wrong way.
Like when someone says all women are " this", or all white people are "that".That's what I mean by generalizing.
Yeah, people do that bc they are either ignorant and uninformed or assholes, or they've just seen a lot of the same shit come from one type of group and are fed up
Gotcha, thank you for your opinion❤.
You're most welcome <3
