The other day I walked into a Dairy Queen, but it was built into a Pick N' Save. That was the first time I've seen that. It was a particularly warm afternoon at 92 oF (33 oC). As I was sitting waiting for my order I noticed the AC running and heard the motors churning from the machines at Dairy Queen. I considered how much all this energy cost was and how it must be more cost effective for electricity and property taxes for Dairy Queen to be built into Pick N' Save. I was estimating how much of the store's space they took up and I pondered how much they split the energy bill. I wondered if it was by percentage of space or if they were metered separately. Then my food arrived and I was on to the next thing. You ever think like this?
