Which car would you choose?

If I have to buy a new car I'm looking to get a car that has a great reputation and good on mileage. So im going with a Toyota or a Honda. I'd love another sports car which can last with proper car but Hondas and Toyota are known for going past 200,000-300,000 in mileage which is excellent.

In addition, I like the dodge challengers so ill add it to this mix.

Between Honda and Toyota I would take a Toyota pretty much 100% of the time. Hondas will do what you want, but I don't like how they drive as much. Nissan and Subaru are also worth a look. The German brands are also solid but you really need a mechanic who specializes in those types of vehicles or else you'll end up paying a lot more for their mistakes, AND they'll cost a lot more out the door (except maybe VW).

You would have to pay me to take a Dodge off a dealership. I don't know anybody (personally) who hasn't been dragged through the ringer trying to keep Dodges running without issues.

Just bought a CR-V XL Hybrid. Compared with the RAV-4 and liked the CR-V interior much better. We traded a BMW X-5 and don't feel like we gave up any comfort, but got better mileage, modern technology, much lower maintenance. Ride is very comparable to the X5. About the same interior space, but more room in the back since the CR-V has no third row seat.

The hybrid is nice -- for city trips we can run entirely on the battery.

  The maintenance on the 12-year-old X5 was crazy expensive. The CR-V will cost about half as much to fuel as the X5.

Hondas & Toyotas are far more superior in build quality & reliability than Dodges. Anything & everything manufactured by Chrysler has very low resale value. Furthermore, the Challenger's dash simply looks out-dated.

Side note: The Camaro is a far better choice than the Challenger. It's built better & it looks better. However, it's nowhere as reliable as a Camry or an Accord.

Out of those I would take the Toyota. I much prefer to keep my truck though. In the end buy the one where you will get the best service. If it where me though I wouldn't touch the Challenger.

That Challenger will be an expensive car to drive and the insurance will be exorbitant. Honda's have the best reputation for durability. Ask an experienced auto mechanic their opinion.

You're in the states so I picked the Dodge

Here in the UK, I'd buy a Lexus if I could drive as they are luxury, reliable and have a whiff of freemasonry that I can live with

If you want good gas mileage and less maintenance than you should get a Toyota or Honda but the challenger looks like fun

  I sold it in the early 90s , used a lot of gas and always needed work. I bought 1988 Isuzu impulse after that, I missed that one too but it was too expensive to fix the motor when the timing belt broke. I currently drive a 2003 Mercury Mountaineer

Challenger is fun, but not a car for good gas mileage. You would have better luck with the Toyota.

  There good care I have a 2019 dodge charger SRT8 and a dodge Ram 1500 the SUV you see in the pic was left for me by my great uncle I just did some work to it
