Do you dream in your mother language or the one you learned as a second language? Do you dream in color or black&white?

I haven't had any black and white dreams before and its always been in colour where it looks so real and I haven't dreamt in my mother tongue before either, its always been in English language. I guess probably that's the language where my subconscious mind captures it and interprets it, in the form of my dreams.

According to proven theories, a person dreams by default in a language he/she is using at the moment, frequently uses or learning. It’s also determined by past experiences, and nature of the dream. For example, despite using a 2nd language at the moment to communicate with the speakers you are currently interacting with, when the dream involves a person you spoke or speak in mother tongue like your parents, it will subconsciously switch to mother tongue meaning in a dream you can subconsciously communicate in different languages depending on how many speakers or who is involved in your dream.

I dream in every language I know. Sometimes English, Swedish, German, French. Pretty sure I have had some weird imaginary languages too. Shame memory often disappears quick after you wake up. Would have been fun to dissect them and see if dream-me followed ordinary linguistic rules. After all, if dream me can make a comprehensive and consistent language in a night that'd be pretty awesome.

I dream in both of English and Arabic and sometimes i dream in Japanese because i was trying to learn it and it makes me too happy when i remember my dreams and how i was too fluent in languages i didn't learn 😂

I speak two languages, in my dream it's just like in real life. In my dreams I would speak English around English speaking people and in my native language around my people.

I dream in black and white. Plus the dreams are always based in the early 1800's and for some reason I am always flying and I'm female.

Color, no one usually says anything. There might be some words but they’re usually written in English which is my native language.
