How long should people do for murder?

I'm for capital punishment and that these people should be put to death - in your case where they killed your friend's dad- by the firing squad. But the bleeding hearts don't want some scum bag to be put to death even though they kidnap, rape, torture horribly, and kill some 7 year old girl. That means the pain the girl felt, her terror, and everything else she went through was not worth killing some freak for. It's even worse when the family of the girl has to go on living knowing their daughter's killer get's to keep living - even on death row they can live there for 20 years - while they never got to see their daughter grow, graduate, go to prom, get married and have grand kids, or hug any of them. I mean what the actual fuck does it take, what crime do they have to do- to be put to death? These scum sucking maggots just get plea bargains to not get the death penalty. Give the family 10 minutes alone with them and save the state the cost of prison or putting them to death.

I'd say, every person on earth has the potential to live to 100, so if you kill someone, your penalty should be 100 minus the victims age except if your victims is a senior to begin with then the base penalty should be 30-35years, nothing less than that.

In some countries the punishment for murder is light BUT because it's light it also means that people know if they kill your friend you'll kill them and their 20 friends and not be worried about prison time. So it balances out.

Depends if it’s a kid, is it an accident, is it a justifiable revenge, is it a pregnant woman. Some people quite frankly deserve the death penalty
