Why is it more shocking when the criminal/perpetrator is a kid vs an adult?

Anonymous
I've noticed people get a lot more shocked and anger when a kid does it vs a full grown-up. There have been horrible cases of dangerous children before.

I'll give you these examples.
- A 7-9 year-old kid gets raped by a pedophile:
Obviously that's disgusting and he gets hated in prison too.

- A 5 year-old kid gets raped by an older 10 year-old child
There is more anger, shock and that kid is labled a freak of nature... certain people even want that kid hanged before he/she grows up or locked up for life... the level of public reaction is higher than the first case

Both committed the same crime so why is it more upsetting when it was done by a child vs an adult?

Ironically the same people that say ''he/she's just a kid''... want that child killed if they committed a terrible crime at that age, labelling those dangerous kids ''freaks of nature''.
