I dont really know, I think this is probably like driving and that we all like to think that we are good people but most of us cannot be assuming it is a bell curve arrangement.
I think i have a considerably above average understanding of ethics and even though i dont think i act in an unethical way often I am not a perfect person and I really dont think that being able to talk about ethics really has anything to do with acting ethically.
I dont think i would be at all surprised to learn that there are a considerable amount of people who are doing a better job of it than i am without knowing what they are doing as such.
Most people aren't complete cunts who actively hurt others so it seems like there must be quite a lot of virtue even in the lower middle ground.
Though of course it all depends what you call ethical in the first place, that can be subjective or open to debate.
Being the most moral/ethical person in the world isn't exactly a good thing. You have to think for your own benefit to be at least somewhat successful in life.
