If you walk into a bookstore and read an entire book inside the store, is that stealing?

Even more realistic, picture book or magazine, if you looked at it all you want, is it stealing :)

That's a tough place... Most would say no but I'd be inclined to say yes although I've yet to see anyone enforce it... And if someone wanted to sample a book before buying how would you notice the difference 🤔

Can a person get comfortable long enough to read all that?

My old roommate said he could read 100 pages an hour and he said that's very fast reading

I used to do that before I started school when I had more time on my hands - I say no its not stealing cause I would spend $9.00 on Starbucks drinks and appetizers while visiting the chapters and Starbucks joint book store - they know people read books at the store which is why they sell coffee so they can make money off of those readers

Book stores do sometimes have sections where you can sit and read, so I am assuming it is allowed, I know the one I go to allows people to do this as long as they either buy the book or put it back.
