A couple times a month. Breaks my heart because I can tell it really bothers her. Sometimes she will skip sleeping the next night because of it 😔

She’s in therapy but I doubt she’s talked about it with him. She won’t even tell me.

That's disturbing. Mostly when it happens to me it's like I'm awake but it feels like there is some malevolent presence holding me so I can't move. Other times I've seen a whirling mass of light right in front of me but the most scary thing I've seen is a humanoid figure with scaly skin and burning red eyes. I first saw him when I was quite young at the end of my bed and a couple more times since. I can't describe the terror so I can understand why your girl is so shaken up by it.
