Two things come to mind simultaneously, actually. The first is another word for "sex" in my language. The other is the soundtrack of "Blade": New Order - Confusion (Pump panel remix).

It's just the way my brain works. Since English ain't my native language and there are some words that made my life as an English student almost a nightmare (I was in 6th grade back then) and the spelling of some words still do (like "acquaintance"), I found a way to remember the spelling and/or the meaning of these words through associations. Such a word is "necessary". "Pump" was a word whose spelling was easy but I had a hard time remembering its meaning. So I remembered it by reminding myself that "pumping" was another word for "sex" - because pumping involves the same repetitive movements as with sex.
