Have you accomplished what you wanted to accomplish in the first 6 months?
What do you still want to accomplish in the remaining 6 months?
Man, actually, yeah.
My year was going to be a big transformative one no matter what.
Four months ago, my American then-fiancé was supposed to move up to Canada to be with me. He told me he had his immigration stuff all set, which I'd had to manage for him and get him started on despite his stated desire to emigrate to Scandinavia or Canada.
Turns out he lied and he never followed up on his immigration. Instead, he had his mother fly me down, had his family and I pack up his apartment, and had my drive him most of the way to the border. Where he was denied entry, thankfully, and I learned he was less competent than a goldfish.
Couldn't even hold his own barrier to entry papers to go piss.
I left him and dodged a massive bullet, because it seems he's gone full off the conspiracy deep end, has moved into his mother's basement, and is still unemployed. I see his Steam status crop up frequently in the middle of the day playing hentai games. And he's put on at least twenty pounds.
On the plus side, he now no longer qualifies as even a visitor to Canada. He has no home address or job tying him to the US - if he tries to get a one way ticket, he'll automatically be denied.
But aside from that - which, honestly, feels like dodging a missile - life has been going very well.
I'm settling into my new place, work is going very well and I'm getting many compliments, I'm expanding my friend network and I'm getting back to martial arts.
My garden is producing and I'm looking forward to having fresh veggies soon.
Next up for the rest of the year is just working on building systems and habits for a thriving life. Meal prepping, getting my side gigs started, getting back into climbing, and just progressing my life.
I'm looking forward to the rest of the year.
I’ve accomplished getting my next driving license, affording surgery to have all my wisdom teeth removed, and I’ve started working again after not being able to for 3 years due to my health.
Yes, I finally posted Part VI of Legacy Tease, updated the Concepts document, am working on Part VII today, and at last have gotten back to coloring Heirloom Island.
I am 67, still working full-time, president of two organizations, busy with volunteer work, and living with my girfriend of the past 18 months. Life is doggone good!

Yeah, I came up with a plan for what I want to do, basically 200 book ideas and 9 research products that could take 30 or 40 years to complete, and I finished the first draft for one of my books, also accumulated 1200 digital electronic books for future reading and now I want to study a new religious tradition too, and I found a method of weight loss more effective than low carb or no carb so I might reach my weight loss goals, also became newly interested in working out and I got new advice from God in a dream.
I would like to go on a vacation before summer ends. I've never seen the ocean. I would like to go somewhere tropical that has my blue and gold macaw flying freely! I have one named Snoopy, but she is in a cage and cannot fly. They have those birds in South America, West Indies, and Africa. It would be cool to go to Africa. They have all the interesting animals! I doubt that will happen though. Someday..
I've graduated high school. Now all there's left to do is to go to college, which has a fall semester.
Congratulations. Enjoy the summer and best of luck with college.
getting a job was my primary interest and I just was hired last week so that is a big thing off my list.
Yay! What's the job?
@BCRanger10 I was hired as a Systems Administrator.
Well not quite. I've done what I wanted for the future of me and so far, it's better that I did it than not.
Not really, but I'm close to it. It's July now right? So more 5 months to go.
No, not everything - but some of it. I will likely be done with the major stuff within six months to a year.
Now other things, like earning good money, may not happen until other things are finished.
Weight loss will probably not get done until some of the other stuff happens, which I kind of figured as much. I just did not think I would be QUITE as sidelined in that department.
The year? I'm about to be 50, my life is half over, and no I haven't..
still feels like yesterday that 2022 started

Some of it. I got a new job and got a certification I'd been working towards.
I got a new job. But I don't know what my goals even are.
I graduated college last year and that's amounted to nothing. Still getting low pay and can't afford my own place.
