Have you ever found yourself wondering, could I find love on GaG? GaG isn't actually a dating site it's a social site. However, I personally know some couples who met and fell in love on the website. The couple's I know actually have beautiful stories and I thought it would be nice to share them with everyone. I questioned four different couple's who's relationship started thanks to girlsaskguys.com
Love Comes Knocking
None of the couple's were looking for love on GaG. They had joined the website for a variety of reasons none being love or companionship. Before I start I want to thank the couple's who participated for sharing their stories. The names have been changed for privacy but the stories have not. This is going to be a series of My Takes because of all the information so without further BS,,, Let's start with our first couple.
Shannon and David
Shannon and David who are soon moving in together met in early summer of 2018 on GaG. David had joined the site for a specific reason and that was to announce his bi-sexuality before coming out in his real life. David was looking for support while taking this huge step in his life. Shannon found the site by accident late one night and decided to check it out. David had ask a question concerning what people thought of bi-sexual males. He begin getting attacked by other users in his question. Shannon saw this and decided to help him because so many people were attacking him at once about something that she saw as perfectly okay.
What Happened Next
" It was like a modern day romance story" said Shannon "still sometimes I can't believe it myself"
David messaged Shannon and thanked her for her support. "Nobody in my entire life had my back like she did that day" said David. The two begin chatting and developed a strong connection. The only problem with this was David actually had a boyfriend. While David saw his and Shannon's relationship as a friendship she was seeing it as more. Shannon became scared of her feelings about David and told him that she thought he should spend more time with his boyfriend and less time chatting with her. So, David did exactly that. The two didn't speak for six weeks after that conversation happened in early Augest.
Somethings are just meant to be
Shannon received a message on GaG from David in mid September. The message consisted of David telling Shannon how much he missed her friendship and their conversations together. The two exchanged numbers and began speaking on the phone regularly. David started to realize he had feelings for Shannon too. One night during a conversation David told Shannon he loved her. Shannon begin to cry and ask David what about his boyfriend? David then told her he had left his boyfriend a couple weeks earlier after he finally realized it was her that he loved and it had been her the whole time. They quickly rushed to meet in person although it took a few months. In May of 2019 they finally did get to meet.
It Really was Love at First Sight
Shannon flew half way across the United States and met David. It was Love at first sight. They both agreed it felt as if they had known each other years. After a week of love and fun sadly their time was up. The day Shannon was leaving David was driving her to the airport and said " what would you think about being my girlfriend?" Shannon said she would love that. Once arriving at the airport David ask Shannon "what would you think about being my wife?" Shannon giggled at him and replied "sure" she turned around to grab her luggage when she looked back she saw David down on one knee.
The Happy Ending
David of course ask Shannon to marry him that day right there in the airport. Shannon said yes of courss. Shannon returned home and begin the process of moving her entire life around to be with David. Shannon has made all the proper arrangements and is moving at the end of this month to be with her future husband. Both Shannon and David said they have never been happier in a relationship and are excited to marry this November. Both have no kids and have never married in fact Shannon claims to have given up on love all together entirely before meeting David. The couple wanted to think the GaG because without it they would have never met let alone fell in love.
