If someone says yes but his body language suggests no, then is that giving consent to sex?

Imagine this. A person says yes to sex, but his body language suggests otherwise. He may feel extremely worried or scared or anxious. Should his partner go ahead and start sex anyway? Or should the partner ask?

  • Legally yes, it is still consent. But the appropriate thing to do would be to ask them if they're sure, and not go through with it even if they say they're sure but are clearly not wanting to have sex.

  • Legally yes that's consent. But morally, you should make sure they are ready to have sex.
