Sounds like a guy who likes you, wants to spend more time with you, let everyone know he's taken with you AND help you to be healthier. What's wrong with ball that?
it sounds to me like he was being a little rude at applying it but I think he really just wants to share his hobbies every relationship should be happy and able to share their hobbies with their partner without feeling like their partner doesn't give a crap but he could've been easier on the whole don't you wanna improve part
It means he's a nice, sensible guy that wants to make you a bigger part of his life. Maybe being healthy and working hard for something isn't all that bad...
I know it sounds kinda funny but that's what I'm picking up. If he said what you wrote he is kind with words an never called you anything he was careful to state if you feel like you want to come etc get fit he chose words careful to not make you feel a way. Anybody that works out knows you cannot force anyone to workout they got to be motivated. Hope this clears things up.
The girl that could possibly be trying to hound your guy he probably told her he's taken but she may not believe him etc sounds like he wants to bring you to prove he is taken.( if that's the case. lol you never know exactely)
I think that he want to be with you more. I don't think that the mirror thing is an insult. Maybe he hears you compliance about the way you look or he's trying to help you boost your self image.

THIS JUST IN: WOMAN UPSET THAT HER PARTNER WANTS TO SPEND TIME WITH HER.
He wants you to admire him crushing his workout in my most honest of opinion plus helping you get in better shape is never a bad thing if you're less than what you want now so what you'll be awesome in a couple months!
He just wants to be doing stuff together with you, not implying some obscure meaning or having any concealed intentions, we guys are mostly straightforward about things
Sometimes it's just not a match. The purpose of dating is to make this determination. Bail out honey, you're just not ready. OTOH, it pays to be fit, for a LOT of reasons.
He wants to help you out. If you aren't happy with your body, he wants to help get your body the the way you like it. He also wants to spend time with you and share his interests
You're asking the wrong questions, the gym isn't just for improving the body. It's a wholesome activity and he probably just wants to share the experience with you. Gym buddies make the gym fun.

It doesn't have to be that he doesn't like your body. Exercising is a great habit to have, and it could be that he wants you to stay healthy. Even if he doesn't completely love the way your body looks right now, he isn't being an asshole about it.

he just wants you to be healthy. he loves you. the rest doesn't seem relevant.
Really? this is the problem you're facing in your life? (rolls eyes)

i"m sure your body is just fine. My ex boyfriend would say the same thing to me even though i looked awesome
Even if your body is top notch now you should learn to make the gym a routine: your body won't stay young forever.

He definitely won't like you being neurotic about it.
It's not about your body! He wants to spend quality time with You! He really likes you and is into you! If anything, be overjoyed with happiness!
Maybe he just wanted to include you in another part of his life, you never know
From this question it seems that he wants to spend more time with you without giving up on his gym time.
