How important is passion in a relationship?

Very important, I didn't realize it until my last relationship, he had a someone cynical view on sex, he' right in some way, but I like being romantic in bed, kinda like those steamy sex scenes in movies, but he doesn't think that's what real people do when having sex and he made me not want to have sex with him because of how he approaches it.
