My boyfriend has a smart mouth and he lost his job because of it?

Question

So my boyfriend was working at Popeye’s and according to him, he felt racism was being portrayed towards him. He told me ever since he’s started, he has always felt that way. I always tell him that if he isn’t comfortable with his job, it’s ok to find something else if it doesn’t work out. My boyfriend has a very smart mouth, with any and everyone but he’s also sensitive if he’s yelled at or he plays victim. He especially does that with me when I tell him to shut his damn mouth with his stupid joke.

Anyways, Ok so he told me that he got fired because one of his coworkers was being a lazy fuck and not doing his job and my boyfriend started running his mouth about how so and so doesn’t do his job. That made his manager get upset and told him to stop having an attitude. He got fired right on the spot for speaking to the manager that way. I keep telling him to learn how to bite his tongue but he doesn’t seem to understand when to shut the hell up and stop talking.
I’m getting tired of having to spend my money on him because HE lost his job for an invalid reason

Listen. Forgive me for what I have to say but I understand it's what needs to be said. If you two are living together that is not good as it is. Shacking up before marriage is not only something you should not be doing because it will cause problems and sinful behaviors. But now you know exactly why it's a problem. You are his girlfriend. You are not his wife. You are not responsible if he refuses to grow up. You are not responsible to be paying and Catering to him. You are not responsible to tell him what he should and shouldn't do at his job. He is a grown man who obviously knows better. Whether he dealing with racism or not, he has his right, I don't blame him for what he's feeling. So I wouldn't say he's playing Victim Because just because he's sensitive and not to be bias as I'm sensitive also, that does not mean he is like that. His problem is exactly what you just said. He doesn't know when to bite his tongue. That's a lesson he has to learn. So if he don't want to listen, is that your problem? No. But because you chose to have and live with you, that now becomes your problem. Because his but should be out do he got to do for himself being a man. Not you being the provider and we're in the Panthers if you're the man. Because if that's the case you don't need him there. Regardless of what his other coworkers are doing he needs to grow up. Everybody has problems. Because it's clear to me that him going to another place wouldn't have changed anything. It would have been the same thing even if you did let that job. Telling You by experience with people like him.

You are right, he really should learn to hold his tongue when necessary.
It's not pretty I know, but words hold a lot of weight and as he experienced it takes very little to say something that can cost a job or worse.
Words have consequences too - in this case that you have to pay for him. So tell him to think that what he says not only weights on him, but on you and other people as well.
If he doesn't get it, then it's time to consider how much he actually cares about you and others.

And he’s worried about the wrong things. He’s not even the manager to be worrying about what his coworkers are doing. If he hasn't learned such simple concepts as this by now, you are looking at someone who will work menial jobs and basically be a loser for life. The best thing you could do for both of you is to dump him. For you, you escape a life of misery, and for him, maybe, just maybe he will someday reflect on his life, and you dumping him for his mouth will be another piece of the puzzle he can place when he starts to figure it out.
