Does sharing your partner ruins things?

Question

One of my ex boyfriend's fantasy was sharing me with another man. I didn't like the idea of sharing but he kept insisting so I did once.
Something changed. I actually felt disgusted (wasn't having fun) and couldn't see my then boyfriend in the same manner. I starting doubting his love towards me. How can you love someone and be ok with sharing them too? That still doesn't make sense to me.

In general if you share your partner, does it ruins the relationship like it did in my case?

Am in polymarous relationship. Like your exboyfriend, i brought the idea up after I saw my girlfriend having an affair. She was honest to tell me she loved both on us. I said if you do bring him to dinner if his ok. I'll be fine too. We did. We met. His one of my best friends now. We both love n care for her. Doesn't matter which apartment she sleeps at we both happy. She is happy.

He's someone else's problem by now and from the looks of it, the girl seems ok with his weird arrangement. Apparently he's been doing the same to any girl. You're right he wasn't worth my time.

I heard from elsewhere that he's engaged by now and does that to his fiancee too. Apparently the girl is ok with that arrangement. He had a weird lifestyle of sharing me with men (as long as there is no feelings) and he still being my boyfriend.
I really don't understand. It goes against the concept of the man being protective and territorial.
