How do I know the difference between a genuine and a rebound relationship?

Ask the person what is his/her intention... if the person keeps lamenting over his ex and how he/ she wants to move on and forget. It's unfortunately a rebound
if the person does not mention his/ her ex at all and only wants to enjoy quality time with you with no reference to the past, it's a genuine relationship 😊

this one is hard, you can tell by the way she acts, pay attention if there are certain times when she is cold or when she looks absent-minded she doesn't want to deal with you, or she talks about her ex a lot, possibly talking to him a lot and if you ever cross him if she looks at him most of the time, those are all signs of being a rebound.

You'll know your in a rebound relationship if the person your with just got outvof a different relationship not too long before getting with you.

Especially when said person still communicates with said ex.

Those two things combined makes you a rebound.

Rebounds are just to fill a feeling of loneliness but can sometimes still make you feel empty
Genuine is a deeper feeling of attraction and needing the person to be with you and feeling of fullness.
