Yes. Because if she finds out herself, that could end your marriage. If you show her you regret it, prove it to her, and talk through WHY it happened, you might have the chance of keeping her.

The dirty deed's been done anyway now, you can't take back the cheating. It's all about how you will move forward from it now. So be prepared for whatever consequences, because I am sorry to say this (and I am in no way judging because I don't know what happened in the RS), cheating is a very, very bad thing to do and so you must bear what is about to come next.

His wife is so damn aggressive and would take a decision to leave him. Since he knows this he prefers not to tell her and he is so regretting and wouldn't do this ever again.

Wait I thought you meant telling her he regrets (as in they both already know he cheated).
Hell yeah he should tell her and bear the responsibility. And it's her right to leave if she wants to, there's nothing aggressive about wanting to leave a cheater.
