my boyfriend is a small dj and get gigs. It’s extremely hard and frustrating to handle girls who just throw themselves at him or say raunchy things while I’m overhearing them. And with the age of social media they find and follow him. That’s not an issue to me. The issue is when I express to him how I feel and why he feels the need to follow them back since he doesn’t follow everyone back. And I feel like it’s always an excuse.
I don’t know how to handle or go about this anymore.

The issue isn't the girls - it's how your boyfriend handles it. It's him that has to say no, and not follow or friend them unless he has a professional or some other good reason to do it (ie. a guy's girlfriend, someone he used to know in school, etc.). I think he's giving you signals to make you feel like you ought to be worried when he allows it to happen, and those insecurities can make a girl feel terrible, which then makes him feel unhappy.

Keep your cool, and take notice of how he reacts to them, even on his social media. If he starts being flirty and inappropriate, then you've got something. Until then, he's likely trying to gain followers to boost his numbers and doesn't want to over follow back having more following than followers, but also doesn't want to appear to snub everyone. I'm sure he is following guys too, isn't he?

I'm sure it's nothing, but the main thing is to be the confident girl that he wants more of, not these girls who are disrespecting your relationship.
