Has knowing someone better actually confirmed your prejudice about them or made you prejudiced?

Well, as an average human I prejudge, then I know people better and sometimes the prejudgement is confirmed but some other times I discover it wasn't accurate and I "update" my mental picture of that person. This can happen with both positive and negative prejudges.

If the prejudgement is negative (prejudice) and self confirms not just once but several times I can become prejudiced against that specific individual, making harder in the future for me to change my mental picture about this person, even when it seems the person has changed their behavior.

Yes, there’s two sides of the same coin. On one side, we have prejudices and on the other we put people up on a pedestal. Although there is a saying that goes something like this, “the more time you spend with someone, you might actually find something in common or similar that makes you end up liking them”

Yes that has occurred occasionally. I recall one person in particular who is extremely prejudiced against a particular religious and racial group and I didn't know that about her until one night after a drink or two she started talking about it. That was also the last time I ever saw her.

Yeah. That’s happened a several times. I never felt great about it, but my brain tends to call it like it is.

Both. Mixed emotions too. I feel smug when I was right, but kinda shit when I was wrong about someone. I always say I'll not judge but it's reeeeeeally hard not to sometimes.
