I think that I'd be kind of suprised about it... but then I think I'd just think like "Hey, they are trying to help and improve us-- lets see how that works". But on the other side of the coin, if you were thinking that the relationship was going absolutely great and you suddenly found the book then yeah, I could understand the disappointment and sadness of finding out.

Gee, we're all born with that knowledge about how-to handle relationships, right? WRONG!
So if I discovered my girlfriend reading a relationship improvement book, I wouldn't be shocked or surprised, or upset, or mad at her.
