Typically in a relationship, you're going to see one partner emerging to take the lead in a given area (say, finances) and the other stepping up to run others (event planning, say). This is how it'll usually run, but sometimes the other will fill the role of the usual primary, for whatever reason. There's an ebb and flow that most couples settle into naturally. Not every relationship works out that way, of course, but it is usually how it turns out.

What's "healthy" is whatever works for that couple.
