Is it common to feel your ex is prettier/better looking now you've broken up?

Yeah I was like that too - after the break up I thought he was the best looking guy in the entire school and before that I thought he was extremely average - it’s like Adam and Eve in the garden - sometimes the reason we want something is not because it is good but simply because we can’t or don’t have it.

I think it all depends on the person, the breakup and how ugly that person was in the inside, cuz if you ugly in the inside, the outside looks ugly to me too

My first ex definitely improved her looks after our breakup. She was pretty and in shape in our relationship but not much into exercising. I saw a picture of her a year after we broke up and she put a lot of effort into her body. In the relationship she was a 7/10. After it she was 11/10.

It is both common and uncommon, if it was a good breakup then it isn't as common but if it was a bad break up the initiator sometimes feels that way.
