I would absolutely like to know. Because there is no way to guarantee that it would never happen again. Hypothetically it seems possible but practically, nopeee.

I know there's way to guarantee it wouldn't happen again. And i've always said when someone cheats they've only proven they're capable of doing it so why wouldn't they do it again. But this is why i emphasized in the question if you KNEW it woulsn't happen again. Because i'm basically trying to understand if ignorance that it happened is better. Or if they would just want to know.

Nope, doesn't matter if they could never cheat again. They cheated once, and I'd remember that every time I looked at them. I wouldn't firgive them, or even try to. The relationship would be over.

That's why i worded it the way i did. I knew almost virtually everyone would respond this way. I'm tryiing to eliminate the " trust" bias i mean if they were unable ro ever cheat on you again than it just becomes about whether you can forgive them. And i think a lot of people claim one reason when it's actually the other.

I can see how that might apply to a majority of other relationships, sort of. I don't how a person would be "unable" to cheat again, as in not having the "ability" to do so? My relationship is more open than that, so if my SO wanted to go that way, she wouldn't have to lie about it.
