Please help me with a debate I am having with my girlfriend. She sent a birthday gift to a friend. It was delivered on her friend's birthday with a "Happy Birthday" note. Days later, after not hearing from her friend, she receives a text saying that it was rude of her to not call or text on her birthday because she liked the social media posts about her birthday ("so, you knew). I told my girlfriend, it was not rude, at all. The act of gift-giving took thought and action. What is rude is to not acknowledge receipt of the gift and then guilt her for not calling or texting her. She feels really bad and thinks she needs to apologize. I don't think she did anything wrong. Thoughts?
