That's sad. I just assume in that year that she me someone else but wanted to see if that feeling was still there. She may have felt rejected and just wanted to make you feel like she did - ghosted. Don't you hate it when you didn't say something when you should have? I think it happens to everyone at one time or another.
Well the rest of the story.. I went back over the winter about 5 or 6 months later. I found out she married this older guy. A little while after that she has kid. I think she got pregnant and had to get married as was the custom back in the 80s/
Thanks for the MHO
Did it all turn out in the end?
We're still dating over 3 years later and I do want to propose in the next 18 months.
That's a long dating relationship. But at least you got to know her very well I bet. And that is good and not just being a fool that rushes in where angels fear to tread.
My dad waited 7 years with my mom. He didn't even really propose. He just said that since they've been together for 7 years they may as well get married. They got married a month later. My mom had to beg for a white dress because the ladies at the dress shop thought it was a shotgun wedding.

My mug shot is not much better.
@Daniela1982 You're cute. It's a lot better than Nihilist Simpsons Girl.
In love or in lust?
I had no distiction between that back then, so lust but with the decision making of wanting her as my girlfriend.
I wasn't too shy at all! That was my problem!
Hmmm, she waiting on him and he on she. You know it won't go anywhere if you are both at cross purposes.
Yeah I guess until one takes a chance and says it
It's good that you could still maintain a friendship, although I don't know how as it must be hard.
Yeah it's not the same anymore
Well you didn't give an example of it here. haha
And. . . ?
They were lost opportunities that I regretted and learned from.
