Are traditional gender roles really so bad?

Society today seems to look down on men and women who exhibit more traditional gender roles or characteristics. Men who exhibit more masculine traits are seen as toxic masculinity and women who are more traditionally feminine are seen as weak and easily manipulated.

We made great strides as a society in accepting the men and women who don't fit into these roles but in the process we have decided that nobody should be what we used to consider traditionally masculine or feminine.

I don't think most men would be attracted to women with masculine characteristics and I don't think most women would be attracted to men who are super feminine.

Yes, it happens and that is totally fine but it seems we consider those who prefer the more traditional traits as regressive.
