What do you think of people who cannot handle their emotions?

I had two guys attempt to abuse me and try to endanger my life after I rejected them and a third guy tried to turn everyone at church against me with lies. Like yes, getting rejected hurts and feeling jealous is unpleasant but being in pain does not give you the right to do bad things against the church, towards the rival who wants your lover when they are single, or to the person who turned you down and makes you feel bad. Mature people are able to absorb pain without inflicting pain on others.

I feel bad for them because they weren’t taught to or were unable to regulate their emotions as children. If you study the psychological side of it it’s very sad.


I’m sorry that you had this experience, I’ve had an experience like that as well. It’s very scary to be around someone who becomes abusive when they’re rejected. The best thing that you can do is block them and steer clear as soon as they show the first red flag.

They're emotionally immature and need professional help. Yes, it's understandable to have emotions and absorb them but when you're (I mean you're in general) doing extreme things like you mentioned those guys doing to you then that's a very bad sign. Hurting people and/or vandalizing property is never right.

Well most women I've known in my life act like immature children when upset or very emotional. For example, she talks less, goes in shut down mode, ignores me, hides under the bed covers, turns her back to me, in a bad mood more often than in a good mood. To me they have a hard time handling their emotions. I don't do any of those things. Hard to find mature people these days.

My goal when getting rejected is to take that rejection as well as any man could possibly take a rejection. That way neither me nor the girl are left worse off for that interaction.

So to answer your question, I regard the inability to take rejection with dignity (and responding with abuse) as a failure of manhood. Its like the guy is rejecting his own sense of self-respect, by essentially admitting (through the abusive behavior) that he's so weak of will that a woman not wanting to fuck him can break his self-concept to the point of violent 'retribution'.

I'm sorry that happened to you. Some people are just not emotionally mature enough to accept certain things like rejection and take it too personally instead. That's actually something that is possible to work on and improve.

I think it's dangerous and scary! If I know someone is not in control of their emotions I will try to avoid them as best as I can!

They need to grow up (ironic from a 14 year old but whatever I don't abuse people when I get rejected)
