What we can learn about Lot and the destruction of the city

I had been struggling to write a book on religion for 16 years.

These last 30 days I’ve come up with around 60 pages of outlines combined with another 28 pages of outlines compiled over the 14-15 years before that

Last night I had the temptation to abandon my extremely well thought out book ideas and write about a non controversial non invasive popular religion type of book Instead

But God showed me the obvious popular religion approach was not His plan for me

The truth is going to be controversial. The only non controversial truth is the inconsequential and benign truth which is truth that does not have the power or intrinsic capacity to save or change lives.

If I were to take the easy road to book writing and create only material that was universally agreed upon, I would be writing about stationary and inconsequential ideas and not about the moral protein that feeds peoples souls

This is why Jesus said it’s a curse when everybody likes you because if you are liked and respected by everybody it means you try to avoid soiling your reputation which is needed to solve the social and spiritual and moral problems of the world
