Is there an end to the process of enlightenment?

Anonymous
In Buddhism the process of enlightenment starts with the understanding that life is suffering followed by looking for answers. It is said that when the Buddha attained an enlightened state of mind about the true nature of the world, he quit looking for answers. He broke his fast and communed with local people. Is that all we can hope to attaine in this lifetime, is to be at peace with there being no answers to spiritual questions?
