I get you. I do enjoy your articles on faith. I just see god as an easy answer is all. Why should we figure out the origin of the universe? God did it. No matter that our best technology was discovered doing that.
You did it in "the name of God," meaning if there is no God, which there isn't, you just did it. Sad you need to project a fictional creature outside of yourself in order to do it but that is what happened. Congrats, you seem like a very nice person and I am always critical of your opinions and MyTakes, I don't usually mean any hate, just stating the plausible alternatives to impossible beliefs.
I meant philosophically lazy. We could use reason and science to discover the origin of the galaxy, or just say “God did it.” And all types of people volunteer in their communities. Religion doesn’t have a monopoly on empathy. In fact atheists don’t require the poor to convert before receiving help.
That's actually a good point. You win this one.
And you’re right that most religious people are good hearted. I just like expounding critical thinking :)
I enjoyed it, I appreciate you sharing that perspective with me.

For example, there is no physical evidence for the definition of a Triangle or the definition of a circle, or bisecting an Angle. You are taught in Algebra and Geometry class that the Logic is sound, and therefore the definition is sound, even though it's impossible to physically test the definition.Matter of fact, about 90% of everything you learn in mathematics is based on the notion that pure logic in the absence of evidence is all you need to prove a claim true.So Atheists who disbelieve i in God simply because they cannot see God , they are ignorant.
So because some Christians disregarded their faith to discover actual truth, that means Christianity is true?
And a triangle and math are human interpretations of the world. Doesn’t mean there’s a god.
The Big Bang agrees with Creation, although I admit the Biblical Creation story is flawed. However, in the Creation story, God says "Let there be Light" and he never commanded there to be less light, and in fact God never commanded the Creation process to stop either, so the natural result of this commandment is that the Universe expands indefinitely in a Sphere.God is a Singular Being, not a system of lesser beings, and in reality God is actually a unique Singularity from which all of reality springs, and this precisely agrees with the Big Bang theory.
You’re a laugh. A theist discovered Big Bang and now theists want to write it off to Iron Age peasants.
True, we're all lazy. I'm just pointing out faith as one way.
You're claiming a monopoly on the numinous for religion though. So it is not only laziness but greed and dishonesty.
@OfDeath Wow. Someone seems to be delusional.I am claiming nothing of the sort.I'm describing what others have described to me, each and every person speaking only for themselves.
Ok, them rather than you.
@OfDeath How can someone who is taking the extra time in their life to seek spiritual guidance be called lazy, greedy, or dishonest? How does one person's spirituality make for "a monopoly on the numinous for religion"?Please explain your views intelligently, point by point.
So people can be irrational? Quelle surprise!
@Dchrls78104 Thanks for your "like".
Because they are assuming they can get that from god. As if they know where that comes from yet they don't have access to the information they need in order to make that judgement.
@OfDeath Ok, I'll be returning to the land of the living now.
Isn’t it just repenting your “sins”? Easy.
Repentence is a part of it yes, but then you also have to abstain from the sin which is not so easy. You cannot continue to willingly sin and follow christ.
Actually you can and just repent on your deathbed.
Can I see this scientific proof?
They’re not imagining it. They’re falling for it. They create nothing.
I just realized I used the word imagine twice in the same sentence. I'm so retarded!
Saying that would be a claim that needs justification. But there’s just as much proof for the lochness monster.
I agree with that and I wouldn't even have a problem with someone saying they know a particular religion like Islam and Christianity is plain false after exposing that there are no references in it to anything humans have discovered after it was written. Even something as mysterious as quantum mechanics can measure the width of North America to within the width of a human hair but no religion can be used to make such an accurate prediction. However, as soon as someone says they absolutely know that no such thing as a god could possibly exist, they have left the room of adults.
True! But atheists dont say that. We just say we don't beleive. Same as Santa or Lochness. Not they don't exist.
it may be. But obeying without thinking is still lazy.
Thinking an omnipotent, omniscient being gives a shit about you is arrogance at its peak.
Say what You want, we all will see how it ends together.
@Trooper205 And that’s always the last grasp of argument from a theist.
You can't tell them they are wrong after death when you both cease to exist xD
Is disbelief in God laziness
No its the default position. Like Santa or Lochness, I don't have proof so I don't believe.
