I came up with different meanings for salt in scripture. Which do you agree with the most?

I mean eh salt can be either for work or for what most people would say purification. The only reason i said work was because people used to be paid in salt however salt absorbs things so i guess it could be one of those two

Salt is a spice that gives food flavor but was also used to keep food from going bad before refrigerators got invented. Doesn’t get much better than that.
