You are correct, everyone will behave unethically at times. What does that have to do with the notion of sin? The only forgiveness needed is from the person who was wronged.
@Daniela1982 The serial killers are suffering serious mental illness. Many were horribly abused as children.

I never said that all behavior was acceptable. I said I didn't believe in the religious notion of sin.

Homicide is a crime against a person. The perpetrator should be removed from society to protect others.
