Without knowing your situation, God did indeed separate you from the guy you like. Either “A” or “B” applies. Because God is sovereign, and He has a plan for you and your life, He separated you because He either wants you to wait or has someone else in mind. The guy could actually be bad for you and you may not realize it. As someone who isn't religious, no I don't believe this. We are responsible for our actions and if we blamed everything on someone/something else, nobody would be held accountable. Not sure, my experience was that I liked a boy at school and I didn’t know how he felt about me. Based on the way he was acting he either hated me or liked me. I never asked for his number because I didn’t know how he felt about me. But now I hated that decision, because when my school went virtual, me and my family moved because of covid.
