Have you ever heard the Moral Argument for God's existence? The Concept of Good and Evil cannot be an illusion. Therefore God necessarily exists.
@Wade8888 I have heard all of the arguments for the existence of god and they are all nonsensical. Good and evil are not objective terms, and even if they were it is still a massive leap of logic to assume that just because good exists there must also exist some supernatural entity responsible for all existence.
@Wade8888 Not only is this a non sequitur the statements aren't even valid.I think its highly likely that you and i have very different ideas about what good and evil mean, so who, if either of us is right?Certainly the matter cannot be settled simply by matching what one guy thinks against another guy, that results in a no score draw.Your attempt at a solution to that stalement is to invoke an argument from authority, a logical fallacy, in the form of an all knowing entity who must there fore be right and who conviently happens to agree with you. I am expected to take your word for it that you are accurately expressing the thoughts of this entity and in fact that this entity even exists at all. I am not willing to do this.It should be obvious that this isn't acceptable even if the entity existed but as there is and never has been any evidence to support that idea at all it is even more absurd. My solution to the problem is to base my thinking, to the best of my knowledge and ability, on the products of logic, critical thinking, evidence and honest attempts by people to uncover whatever the truth might be even when that means that i must change my mind about something. For example, the anarchist's non aggression principle or what Stefan Molyneux would refer to as 'a universally preferable behaviour'.My freedom ends where yours begins, therefore murder is wrong / evil. I dont get to choose for you and you dont get to choose for me.Molyneux would say 'you dont want your own things to be stolen therefore you should not steal other peoples things.'Note that there is no longer any conflict, you are not being asked to do what someone else is telling you to do you are being asked to do what you are telling yourself to do.
