that's how i feel. i'm a 4th generation atheist but i don't want atheists ever to get power. they're gullible and they believe new things that haven't been tested and they're destructive. I don't think you can build a society on the idea that there is nothing else after death

Yahweh controls everything, not just Christianity, but Judaism and Islam.THUS SAITH THE LORD:I AM THE ONE CALLED CHAOS. I CREATE MY OWN EXISTENCE. MY NAME IS YAHWEH.I AM WISDOM. I CREATE KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING. I CREATE GOOD AND I CREATE EVIL. I MADE THE BIG BANG AND I MADE EVOLUTION. I AM THE BEGINNING AND THE END. Even the Hindus believe in an Almighty God, the problem is they believe in every other false god imaginable, So they are turned to idolatry, but even when they admit they are beaten in a debate, they don't stop worshiping their idols, so they will never learn True Obedience to God.
Christianity is in steep decline in most developed countries, now including the US. Much of Europe has left Christianity behind. Britain is now majority secular. Even the Irish overthrew the priests and voted for abortion and gay marriage. Argentina just legalized abortion over the objections of the once dominant Catholic church.
@slatyb and yet the christians are teh only ones still breeding so the decline of christianity will be temporary
Do you think the "nones" (no particular religion) came from outer space? Most were raised Christian. Then as they got older they stopped calling themselves Christian and stopped attending church. Christian parents can force their minor children to attend church, but when the children grow up they will do as they please. In recent years it has pleased many of them to do something else on Sunday.People also claim that the higher fertility of Muslim immigrants will lead to an increasing number of Muslims in the US. But the children of Muslim immigrants raised in the West will be just as free when they grow up and I expect many of them will also give up Islam. Maybe not a lot in the first generations, but the second generation will be fully assimilated and many will leave Islam. Watch "The Big Sick" for a good example of how this happens. Besides it's a really good movie.
@Wade8888 Thus wrote some person: "Thus saith the Lord..." It's all created by people from whole cloth. There are no true prophets. Everyone in the world knows exactly as much about God as I do -- nothing. You are sure you are following the true faith. But billions of Muslims and Hindus are just as sure of their faith as you are of Christianity. They have their own holy books and are just as certain that their holy books are the word of God.
@slatyb such atheists will be 1 generationall of your arguments rely on the assumption that trends are constant. they aren't, they change. the next generation of religious people will be more resillient to the arguments and ideas of the seculars
then why are all atheists unhappy? not reproducing? and incapable of building societies?why has every atheist society fallen apart?
@007kingifrit Atheists unhappy? That's just something Christians say to make themselves feel bettar as they watch the atheists on the coasts creating all the technology and popular culture. I live in Seattle. It's full of atheists. It's rare to meet a professional that is religious. Almost everyone I know is an atheist, and they are all prosperous and happy.
@slatyb no its objective scientific fact. and as an atheist i do follow the scienceany sample of atheists is less happy than the average religious person. that's just common knowledge
@007kingifrit And yet the happiest countries are the most secular. My take on that is that the Christians just lie about being happy. They are supposed to be all Jesus happy so they say that they are.
I know lots of happy high-functioning atheists.
@slatyb i don't really trust international rankings as they tend to be done by people who make things up. you also used a correlation falalcy as the "happiest countries" are also very small and have high wealth per person, which has nothing to do with religion.
@007kingifrit Maybe add people feel more secure in their lives they feel less need for religion.
@slatyb hmmmm sounds like an unfounded belief that fits your... religious beliefs.atheism is just another religion
@007kingifrit Every atheist society? Today that includes almost all of Western Europe. Prosperity brings a declines in religiosity..
@slatyb but western Europe is falling apart... incapable of breeding at replacement levels and america provides all their security. they aren't capable of taking care of themselves.i could also say a rise in atheism leads to the loss of prosperity also
@007kingifrit Education and prosperity leads to increasing secularism and decreasing fertility. It will happen to the immigrants in Europe and the US too in a generation or so. They will forget their grandparent's mother tongue, or never learn it, and many will lose their parent's religion too.
@slatyb atheists just can't keep it together. they have no desire to reproduce, compete, or build anything that will take longer than their lifetime
@007kingifrit Atheists have no desire to build something? All the technology that makes this website possible was largely created by atheists. I've been in high tech my whole life. Almost no one in tech is religious. Modern physics was created almost entirely by atheists (Einstein, Feynman, many others). Today's creative elite in film, television, literature, and popular music are almost entirely secular. Atheists create almost everything.
@slatyb einstein was not an atheist, nor can you prove longterm investment in society with things that can be invented as those things are made IN YOUR LIFETIMEevery atheist society has collapsed. despite your insistence on Europe being atheist its still majority christian
@007kingifrit There's no question Einstein was an atheist. That's not the least bit controversial. And many countries in Europe are majority secular, including all the Scandinavian countries.
@Hispanic-Cool-Guy With respect, sir, I think it is inappropriate for you to judge others, and condemn them, because of your own beliefs.I was raised in Christianity, Baptized and Confirmed, but left, because of the judgement, condemnation, and hypocrisy of those I knew that claimed to act, on behalf of Jesus, and act in the His Love, but they OPENLY hated those that did not believe, and would not hear the Word. When I read the Bible, Jesus Spoke of love, for all, and FORGIVENESS.Who are you to judge, when the Bible states, Matthew 7: 1-3?Read it, and then go to confession, and do penance for your SIN!!
@JackSmy: I'm not judging the person, but the religion. I have a right to judge or dislike any religion I feel like.
@Hispanic-Cool-Guy Yeah, you totally do!! I'm not saying you don't have that right! I'm saying, and I have the same right, that judging others, from some condescending, judgmental place, is hypocritical BULLSHIT!No disrespect, right? Like you said?
@JackSmy: I don't care. I stand by my statement that all religions are trash except the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ and the Bible. You or anyone can feel how they desire about it.
@Hispanic-Cool-Guy Thank you, for being just another one, reinforcing the fact that I made the BEST choice, leaving a Hypocritical, judgmental, condemning "Cult" that you follow!!!Sorry that you have been so brain-washed, and confused, distracted, and drawn away from the reality of the Word of Love, and Forgiveness, that Jesus taught.Peace, to you, but I doubt you will find it, with all your judgment and hate. . .
@JackSmy: Thank You. I seriously doubt no one truly cares if you left the religion or not. I certainly don't.
@Hispanic-Cool-Guy Well, a polite "Sod-Off" to you! You are one of the ones that give Christianity a Bad reputation, so be Proud!!
