If there was one true religion why would there be so many of them?

- That question brought back a memory. That's exactly why I decided that none were true. I was 8 or 9, being taken to a Baptist church by my mother. I had been reading a lot of science books and trying to fit it all together. My mother had a Time-Life book surveying the world's religions. I read that and thought "Hmm. All these people believe their religion is true and the others are not." Then I realized that there was no way to tell which were true, because none made any testable claims. That's when I started doubting Christianity. At 13 I was done doubting, and done with religion. I have never looked back.0|10|0Is this still revelant?

1019- In the same way that two people can build the exact same machinery while learning to build in different languages
So people can worship the exact same God while using different religious books and creeds and theological bearings to learn about him and train themselves to serve for Him - The worship of God is bound by theology but it is bigger than theology and God is not limited by theology so two people with different theological ideas can both worship the same God1|10|0 - You're familiar with the Tower of Babel?
If there was one true religion, we'd still have thousands (or, truly, billions) of variations on it. Because what makes religion isn't God, it's humans. And humans are diverse as fuck.
According to one religion, because we tried to build a tower to Heaven and got very close because we all spoke the same language and had no communication barriers, God said "fuck that noise", smote everyone with different tongues and destroyed the tower.
Because everyone spoke different languages, it led to division, mistrust, and misunderstanding (note: this is not to say everyone must speak the same language, rather, diversity is a gift from God and we must work to understand each other once more) and the tower was doomed.
Even in the religion that claims a One True God, God created the fabric and foundation to making other deities and religions.1|30|0 - I don't like the idea of religion, why does following rules mean believing in something. I guess it's because people from the past couldn't find a reason why (for example) it isn't raining so their food can't grow, so they thought that there is someone up there and that they have to please him and pray to him so he will give them rain. Then someone made church to manipulate with everyone and that's why most of religions look like cults.
There might be one or miliom gods, who knows.
So it's up to you to choose between religion and science.
(Also forcing your kids to believe in something is bad, you should explain religions to him/her and let it choose)1|20|0 - There are 3000 Dao. I like the Dao of Sleep. Only by sleeping can you understand the supreme power.
However, there is this: "49 Dao (paths), 48 has already be determined by the Heavens. The last Dao (path) is left for mankind to create."
So it means that these 4000 religions are pretty much the same things getting recycled over and over and probably belong to one of the 48 paths created by Heavens. The one remaining path is left to be determined.
"Planning comes from man, execution comes from Heaven"
"Human determination will win against the Heavens"0|10|0 - I do believe there is one true religion. I am a protestant Christian. I think its the only logical conclusion that morals cannot exist without a God, or gods, to create them. Without a Gof to create them, they are only relative. Technically, they're elusive regardless, but in this case, they're relative to God. Well, people create their own standards of what morals should be and they end up creating their own god to represent those morals totally believingin this god they've created. Now, I understand that many people feel the same way about my God, but I can't control the beliefs of others. I don't know how much control I really have over my own briefs for that matter. I just make the best choices I can and because I believe the God of the Bible is the true God, I set my standard of morals to the side and accept his as written in scripture.0|00|1
- Easy. Lying is a sin... and everyone is a liar.
the Average American tells at least 3 lies in the first few moments of a typical conversation, even though 70% of Americans claim to be Christian, Muslim, or Jew and claim to believe Lying is a sin... so imagine how bad liars are in pagan nations that don't even believe lying is a sin?
It's very easy to explain the origin of ALL false doctrine and ALL false religion:
All humans are habitual liars.0|00|0Most humans lie the same no matter the religion.
In that case what's one true religion? Maybe ancestral worship or Shinto? No. To be honest Judaism is the one true religion.
The four arguments i've presented elsewhere in this section still show that an Almighty CReator God definitely exists, and his Laws agree with the Torah and Prophets, both in principle and often to the letter.
For example, the Ten Commandments and the Noahide Law are derivable from Logic and Nature... and they are not hard to obey, and they protect you from diseases and broken relationships.Well all these beliefs are much older they change over time. For example flood myth was depicted in Epic of Gilgamesh and Jesus just as Horus was born of a virgin, had twelve disciples, walked on water, performed miracles, was executed by two thieves and rose from death to heaven.

I like these mythological stories. Bible, Quran, Buddhistic text or old Greek legend I see them all as equal. Great stories made by great people of their time. Passing and changing through generations.
I never said Jesus was real. Jesus own followers admit he was executed by Rome for Sedition and Heresy/Blasphemy. And the two "Thieves" are called "Malefactors" in another place, and were executed for a sex crime, not just petty theft.
- A few reasons. 1) They have never had the true religion proclaimed to them. 2) They do not understand it or believe that it can be integrated with their own. 3) They are hostile towards it. Those are just a few reasons and I'm sure I could think of others.
The main reason why I believe that there is one true religion is because it would have to be one of which the One True God Himself would have to be the author. Otherwise, man is just taking a guess.0|10|0 - To blind people from the truth, and divert them away from worshipping the true God.
The way I see it, the "true" or "right"religion; the one that has God's approval , would have worldwide unitity. They'd be united in their beliefs. There's many sects within most religions. So you can illiminate all those for a start. There's so much diversity within religious denominations , so all can't be right.0|00|1 - You just need 3 people to start your own religion, so when you have that power it's just chaos as no one could agree with every single beliefs of mainstream religions. I remember once me and my friends were planning to start our own religion naming "Monke religion" as a joke obviously.0|10|0

- Good question
So why should we be punished in the end for choosing the wrong religion0|10|0 - True, almost all of them have one central figure.
I think most of them are the way they are from centuries of practicing what they preach. They develop into the religion they are today.0|10|0 - Because the other ones are satans way of getting people distracted from the right one.0|00|0
