What is your honest opinion on islam?

Islam is not the issue, its practioners are the issue (and no, not all of them, but many). Its no different then any other abrahamic religion, their is a lot of things in their that are good, a lot that are dated, a lot that where political for their time but now are no longer needed, and all the people in power wish to claim that it means what they mean instead of what it means.

So like christianity or Judaism, its only as good as its practioners. If they see the true purpose of it, to try and be better people and to learn and grow and follow the best path in life, they are good people and good muslims. If they wish to use it to validate their own hatred and bigotry, to validate their desire to control others, then they are bad muslims. Again, no different then any other doctrine of faith, belief, or ideology. The problem is, I think in a lot of places the bad muslims are in charge which hurts the good ones both in the literal sense of subjugating them and in the sense of hurting their image.

I dont want to sound hateful. But what is 1400 years? Compare to other religions like hindu that lasted 5000. Other religions lasted 12000
This doesn't validities it. Also islam doesn’t accept co existing at all. doesn't accept new ideas. I believe religions can make people sometimes act in a good way because of fear of god. But also it doesn’t work with some. So its not the ideal solution

My honest opinion is that Islam is a false belief system like all religions. When people can be inculcated to believe things without evidence, they can be convinced to commit heinous acts. Given the unscrupulously discriminatory content of islamic scripture like the quran and the hadiths against all who don't believe its pretences and especially those who oppose it, the incitement of violence at the hands of indoctrinated muslims is ineluctable.

Steven Weinberg put it more succinctly than I could when he said: “With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.”

Islam is like any other religion it has been used to do good and bad things. The only reason why Islam is in the spotlight is bc of a very small number of Islamic terrorist making everyone think there terrorist, bc you know there has never been any Christian terrorist or buddist terrorist nope only islam have terrorist.

As long as they don't force there daughters to wear the hijab or kill gay people which does happen am perfectly fine with Islam.

I dislike religion.. ALL religion on principle because it requires blind faith and devotion with zero in return, or promised rewards in the after life which is debatable. Faith and feelings are the refuge of fools, no more no less. And when it comes to bloody barbaric history, Christianity and Islam are the worst, with Islam still being the far more violent one.
