@finchie I believe she killed herself too. Still I find it creepy. The tape of her having a psychotic break makes me think she was playing the elevator game, which is even creepier
I agree, she was definitely not doing well and suffering from depression
I’ve never been in LA so I wouldn’t know where or what type of hotel it is.
It's like the whole area has these homeless people around on the streets. About 4000 ig and that area is full of malpractices like prostitutes, drugs and stuff. Also those homeless people have severe mental health related issues and they give off that strong negative vibe that could ruin someone's day from hundreds of metres away.
That makes sense then. I lived in an apartment long ago and there were a shelter in the neighborhood for the homeless. Many of them had severe mental illness, and I feel for them, I really do. It’s a cruel world we live in. One day, two of my neighbors committed suicide the same week, and I couldn’t live in that building anymore... creepy shit
Yeah get out of there, that place might have toll on your mental health. Also, i somewhere read how these people aren't allowed to leave that area just so to keep them away from heart of the city.
I left long ago, thankfully!!! Oh really? Interesting! Yes, I never liked the west cost personally
And according to some contract hotel cecil signed with government, they have to shelter homeless people or something like that, which is yet another reason for it's creepyness
I would believe that! LA is full of shit like that
The Cecil hotel is no longer open to the general public as it has been sold and is in the process of major renovations.
Oh yeah i totally forgot about that. Their plan is pretty impressive tho
What’s their plan?
Not sure if they're true but some sources claim that they're going to build a rooftop pool and Totally change the interior and stuff.
I wouldn’t swim there lol. But yeah, probably better than that hotel anyways.
Yup that’s her! So creepy
I know! Some areas just give me the chills and I don’t like to be in them..

This one is real but I wouldn’t call it haunted. Just a place where suicides happen.
You stayed there? 😱Why’s it creepy?
That’s scary to think about
The title alone sounds scary. What is it about? I’m scared to even Google it lol.
It’s in Netflix. Check it out. It’s not scare. It’s a. True crime documentary. If you don’t like that stuff then you may not like it.
Could be that too but that girl I don’t think she meant to go that hotel. She probably just found a deal and book it.
She probably saw a good offer, good price and location and took it. Maybe she didn't even know the Cecil Hotel had a bad reputation.
Yes, which is super creepy
Me neither. Yesterday was the first time I see the footage and it creeped me the f out
Hear about Eliza lam? Nobody knows how exactly or why, but she ended up dead and rotting in the roofs water tank
That’s who I was referring to. I was watching footage of her in the elevator. To me, she looked like she was playin the elevator game and her death also reminded me of a movie called Dark Water. I watched that movie on a rooftop with my friend when I was 15. 🤦🏻♂️😖
Yeah that’s pretty accurate. Kinda gross that they only found her after several people basically drank her rotten skin.
I know! Just thinking about that made me sick to my stomach!
If I remember correctly she was bipolar and her blood was found that not only had she stopped taking her medication or was undermedicating but she also had alcohol in her blood which could definitely explain her behavior. And I believe she could’ve been sexually assaulted because there was subcutaneous blood found in her anal area but the autopsy report doesn’t say what the rape kit results were or if it was ever even processed but I believe there was definitely a second if not a third person involved
What’s most mind boggling to me is that how the only footage they have is her in that elevator. I don’t believe that. Something is shady.
How about that water tank girl? It would be a strange coincidence that she chose this hotel.
As for the Tank girl, she had mental issues and they have said that before her video was released it had been tampered with.
Tampered with how and why? Nothing appeared in the video. Just her having a psychotic break which corroborates her mental illness.
There are some possibilities why it got tempered. First one, The media always benefits from rumors by gaining profits, they post a simple video but make the headline more dramatic with a hint of subconscious messages. Secondly, Every Hotel owner has an enemy who wants to turn his business down (which in this case deserves to be taken down)
So u believe it was haunted?
i believe at the Ceicle Hotel active evil spirits are truly there.
Why would you like it to be true though 🤣
I find many things fascinating, I'm a why? How? Type. I kinda want to gaunt certain people when I pass lol
I believe so too but still.. creepy story
I did not say I believe.
I meant I believe it’s too overrated for rating
Oh yeah. I get it now. But TLC exaggerates everything for rating. 😒
What makes you so sure?
I'm not , just my opinion it was someone who knew where cameras were or access to turn certain ones off... or She was trying to hide from something in they water tank and got trapped What's the elevator game?
The elevator game is some Asian game where you press a combination of buttons on the elevator, and depending where the elevator stops you have to do certain things.. certain floors are “haunted” by a spirit that would take you away or something.. I read about it just after seeing this woman’s footage
I think so too but still I find it creepy
Perhaps some phenomena can't be explained. How do you know there are no ghosts? If the soul is real then it is certainly a possibility.
Why does the fucked up shit happen there though?
Because most of the renters are from the lower rungs of society. Drug dealers, prostitutes, mentally ill, drug addicted
How about that girl that drowned in the water tank on the roof?
She was mentally ill and off her meds.
She had bipolar disorder and wasn't taking her meds, so she hallucinated.
I know I read that. It still baffles me how she could go to the tank and drown herself naked and close the tank from the inside. Something is creepy about it.
Yeah it's kinna scary. Tank wasn't closed tho
I was watching a documentary that mentioned it was closed. I don’t have the facts though, I admit. I just asked the question to learn more about this place.
It was cuz of miscommunication, the police officer revealed later. Even in the courtroom both police and the maintainance guy who discovered the body admitted that tank wasn't closed.
Oh okay! Thank you for clarifying. That makes more sense. It’s creepy just like that movie Dark Water. I remember watching that movie with my friend when I was 15 or something... I couldn’t sleep for a week 😂
That's actually unexplained and the weirdest thing about this incident tbh. But i think that the girl might have watched that movie a while ago and she hallucinated about that. Cuz that movie had a huge impact on normal people aswell and she already had Bipolar - 1 which is very dangerous.
Even if she did though, how would she go up to the tank. Hallucinations are random. What are the chances of her hallucinating about a movie she watched before, striping herself of her cloths and climbing up inside a water tank on the roof. Very random, which is why it’s scary as hell.
What's really creepy is that people were showering and drinking the water from that tank. The only reason the tank was checked was because guests complained of low water pressure and foul tasting water. Her body was green and had decomposed quite a bit.
I know I read that. Made me feel sick to my stomach to be honest with you.
Dark energy meaning what
A dark energy is a force that create all those bad stuffs happened in Cecil
I understand but would you consider that ghosts and spirits or just energy
Why do you believe so?
Watch a documentary on it. If hauntings exist, then they will take place here. A myriad of suicides, murders, video documented unexplained behavior, mysterious deaths, richard ramirez, it goes on and on. That's why American Horror story did a show featuring that place.
I mean it’s also located in a bad area from what I understood. I’ve never been in LA, but in NY, Chicago, all other big cities, there are bad areas where these things are a daily occurrence and nobody thinks they’re haunted.
