Why? What look do they give you?
Wow. God gave you covid, left you to suffer and then pulled you back. What a sick power trip
@UCrayCray usually they are left literally with their jaws hanging open. It's funny
@kingofthellamas God doesn't make you sick. One of the ancient Hebrew names for God is "I Am, The Lord who Heals" (see Exodus 15:25)Christ only did what He saw the Father doing. He perfectly represented God. There are no records of Him making someone sick, only of Him healing the sick, the blind, the lame, lepers.God didn't give me covid. I wouldn't serve a god who would cause that kind of suffering. If God created that kind of pain there would be no need for a devil.Your reply does nothing but demonstrate your ignorance of the Nature of God.
Wait so an omnipotent being that sees everything and creates everything didn’t see a plague coming? Which if god creates all things I’m pretty sure viruses are on the list and gifted brains to cure them. What if it were part of the grand design? You are talking about the same god that created a flood, sent locusts, and starved people for 40 days and nights? Didn’t give you CoVid?
I’m sorry, but I don’t think Atheist would be convinced of your story. Especially enough to be left with their jaws hanging open. 🤷🏻♀️
So about this event in your life, did you encounter any other miracles after becoming Christian? I’ve been asking for 2-4 things from God and I think that God has agreed to one of my wishes but there are other issues I’m not sure God will fix for me.
Many times. People forget the actual definition of a miracle. A miracle is simply something that happens that is not reasonable in the given circumstances/environment. For example, there have been many times where I could not see a way to make rent each week (I live in a hotel). I would go most of the week with low business as a Lyft driver, but then the day before rent was due things came together. Sometimes a complete stranger would give me an abnormally large tip. Other times Lyft would offer a last-minute bonus that gave me the edge I needed yet was unexpected. All things are possible through Christ, but he does expect one thing. Jesus expects you to put your worry aside and focus only on your walk with him.
That is great that God cares for you - I think God can fix things if He chooses to
God does choose to fix things. You may want a certain outcome, but God sees a much bigger picture than you do. For all you know, the "blessing" you want could lead to heartache and pain later. Faith is not easy. It would not be faith if it was. Other times, God might hold that blessing until you are able to be responsible with it. God does not give blessings for us to hoard, but so we can spread them. Only God knows why he holds things back when we want them, but I know now that if I got some of the "blessings" I begged for, they would have been my destruction down the road. jennifer_bloom just trust him.

Fuck man you don't think they prayed for anyone else to get healed ever? Don't think they've ever been disappointed by prayer before? Or questioned why God lets so many people suffer and die? I don't even know the last time I prayed and I know not all pray-ers are blind spoiled AND selfish.
Lol , i am a doctor and i studied hard and i believe in God..Medicine can't explain many things
Then we haven't done much research about those miracles. I'm sure there must be some scientific explanation.
Just because medicine can't explain it now doesn't mean it won't in the future. I mean we used to know nothing about medicine and the body and look at all the things we know and heal now
I survived an IED explosion that tore my stomach open when (by 3 doctors' statements) I should not have survived. I was an atheist at the time but was forced to realize that it was an act from God that saved me. God allows diseases because they are a natural consequence for the poor decisions humans constantly make. Take COVID for example. COVID is not natural, but was made by humans doing stupid stuff that allowed it to exist in the first place.
@jgokgotit how were you "forced" to realize it was an act from God? Just because it was highly unlikely for you to survive? Its the same when people are in a really tough spot, suddenly they get religious, it makes us feel better, its a placebo. Why do people who believe always give God credit for anything good that happens, but never blame him or dismiss him when he does nothing?
I beg to differ. Some of the best doctors I have known have been devout followers of their chosen faith. I have known a doctor that would ask patients if it was okay to pray with them before a procedure. The two do not go hand in hand.
@Suzzz334 yetvthey have to see things that happened without religion. In other words God did not aid you in that battle, God did not heal you. You can be religious and be a historian or doctor, but in your craft and research God cannot exist.
Out of curiosity how many doctors and historians have you actually spoken about religion and their profession? You will find many doctors that believe that God is with them in the surgery/procedure. You will see doctors trying to understand on more than a base level why the patient died especially how can they correlate the two. I will say surgeons have an almost better than human thought of themselves. This is because they have to do extremely risky things to keep patients alive.
@Suzzz334 I live with a doctor and have for my entire life. Having actually gotten a degree in history I've talked with a lot of historians since you need a PhD in a subject to teach it at a university. I also grew up an live in the bible belt.
I guess it really depends on the doctor and historian you talk to. Yes, some are atheists but to say all doctors and historians are atheists is a fallacy for one can always find exceptions to the rule. Like I said earlier some of the best doctors I have known were strong in their faith. I attended college in the Bible belt too.
@Suzzz334 I am not saying they/we are. I'm not. Yet as professionals we cannot accept acts of god as a rationale for an event. There is a reason that can be explained, sans religion. Whether or not we know it is an entirely different matter.
@Twalli - thank you for the clarification. I agree with what you last wrote.
I think you have that backwards my man.
I do not have to explain anything to you my friend. Accept it there are many people in the world who do not subscribe to it.
why not? :)
Thats all religions buddy, not just Christianity
I beg to differ my friend because there are only 3 monotheistic religions in the world that believe in God, most others are based on becoming enlightened is through self enrichment of one's self.
Islam, Judaism, Catholicism, Christianity, Mormons, Jahovas witnesses, thats 6 right there, polytheistic religions are the same though, they believe their God's are the true way.
@LazyProphetIslam, Judaism and Christianity (Catholics, Mormons and Jehovah's Witness all consider themselves as Christians)
