Why are there different interpretations though? Wouldn't the all-powerful God know how to communicate with us directly? Instead he talks to us through people who read a book written two-thousand years ago by anonymous writers reporting on things they didn't see. And then God set up a system where people would be born sick, subject to bodily temptations, and commanded to heal themselves or they'll burn in hell forever, because he loves us. But he gave us free will.
Well, so many interpretations are needed because money is a hell of a thing. All major religions were a heretical cult at some time or another. Read Genesis and you're reading the history of agrarian farming destroying Eden, cursing all of man to break soil, sweat, curse, all that good stuff, and for women I guess childbirth filled you with smiles before and you never had periods from being so happily pregnant all the time. Cain and Abel sums that up best, though Cain is literally the Canaanites and those expelled from Eden are the Israelis who have monotheism. Egypt was just an unfortunate destination that appreciated their cult of Judaism, but their labor much more.Canterbury Tales is a great read on just how far you can stretch some scripture to make a huge money grab. Also the history of tithing, slowly introducing it, then penalties for not tithing. You will still find tithing in every church you go to. Though they ask for it now rather than demand because of that pesky lack of penalties. I mean, how could you not as their shepherd? You're taking temptation (wealth) out of their hands so you can use it more responsibly for them. The new testament was written more recently than 2 thousand years ago as well, there's still debate on when book of revelation was written (and by who), but at the earliest around the year 90. It may not seem like a big difference, but seeing as all the apostles would be very dead, after stating already that there would be no further prophets... well, it tends to take some credibility from the church that needed some fire and brimstone to keep people from reading too much into that peace, love, god is in all of us message. Why bother building a church and instead work on building communities?Sorry for the lengthy reply, I just love reading a lot and enjoy small debates like these :) Rejecting temptation... sounds like the life of a fire ant to me.
According to the bible he only died once. Is there another source of information other than the bible?

Ok, so dying didn't really count then. It's like if I got robbed and I the cops found and returned all my things, then I can't really say I lost everything.
If you knew my sis you would die for her too.
@Still-alive I want that T-shirt.
It helps with your confusion over what happened there.
Great ill have to use my level 15 fireball spell on him then.
Better than my plan of using a dozen thralled gnomes to attack him
Sorry but could you respond to my private message please
I did. Didn't help. What else ya got?
I don't know I don’t understand these things either 😅
Every religion book talks about the Bible. There are no books before the Bible that mention Jesus.
True because bible was given to Jesus.
The Bible was given to Jesus? Please explain.
Meaning that bible was written or started at time of Jesus !
Book of songs was given to david.
It’s a really old story isn’t it amazing we still have stories from that long ago 😊
Artificial death? What do you mean?
damn... i really screwed that sentence up... Jesus was from Heaven-a spirit creature. only his earthly body died.
How is that death?
