I don't think Atheists or anyone goes to Hell. I like to believe in a God that is above needing a Hell to begin with. And anyone can be a good person without religion. Just believe in something, or someone. I also think both Jesus and Moses were incredibly stoned and the Bible isn't 100% accurate. Let's be real, no book is 100% accurate. Things get muddier the further back in Human history you go. We still don't even actually know how the Mycenean civilization fell despite all the theories and that happened less than 4, 000 years ago.
A lot of The Bible DID occur for the record it is accurate, there's scientific proof to a lot of it: There was indeed a great flood that Noah built an Ark to survive with his family. Did it cover the world? No, likely just the Eurasian sub-continent and he landed at Caucasus when it was over hence the likely misunderstanding at it covering the world and why early scientists thought Caucasians came from the Caucasus which we know now is wildly untrue. He likely didn't collect all the animals since it'd take him a lifetime just to round up all the species of the Urals alone. Jesus and Moses did indeed exist. Did he part the Red Sea? Well, probably not. I think it's safe to say and God will forgive me for saying he and his folks were probably just munching on some mighty good shrooms that day. What really fuckin' kills me is when I see fundamentalist Christians attacking Jews...'cause, you know, the martyr of their religion totally wasn't a Jewish guy. Never tell a fundamentalist that, Jesus was Christian, OF COURSE!
Granted. But let’s extrapolate. Does believing in god make you a better person?
What do they learn that makes them better?
