Slut-shaming, and how to avoid it.

The reason why mostly girls get slut-shamed is because they get pregnant. See, if a man has sex with a lot of women, he won't get pregnant and possibly die. If a girl has sex with a lot of men, she can get pregnant, and therefore she might die during labor. So, women are at risk for death if they have a lot of sex. If you know that and are still willing to sleep with a bunch of people, you'll be slut-shamed.

That's probably because men like slutty girls. They're easy, they (Most likely) have lower standards. Which brings me to my last point...

Sluts have lower standards. Sluts sleep with a ton of people, so they probably aren't picky about who they sleep with. If you're not picky about that, you don't have high standards.

So, how can we avoid slut-shaming? To be honest, we really can't. Other girls will get jealous of you, and try to bring you down. Just ignore them. Be a slut if you want to, as long as it doesn't affect other people. The most us women can do is have standards, sleep with less people, and dress classily.

  • I dont slut shame because I feel that if I can congratulate a male friend on his latest conquest, I should do the same for my female friend.

    What I feel slut shaming from other guys comes from is the fact that when we're solely interacting w/ you for sex, we're just using you, hence you're kinda of objectified and seen as just that. So if a woman goes around one night standing like crazy, in the eyes of most men, she's someone thats okay with being used and objectified yet constantly speaks of finding the one who will see her for more than her body. Of course this ignores the fact that women also enjoy sex, making this way of thinking not entirely right, which is why I try to avoid that thought process, but thats how most see it.

  • Sluts are shamed because guys prefer girls who are chaste. Chastity means that the offspring won't be someone else's during the course of a relationship. Girls can get laid easily, but guys can't because girls are supposed to be more picky. According to evolution, men want to spread their genes while women are more choosy because the woman can experience a greater loss.

  • Slut shaming is completely unnecessary and needs to die like right now. It baffles me that there are so many people out there who care SO MUCH about what others do with their genitalia. What's up with that? It's their life, they should be able to do whatever they want without getting judged for it everywhere they go. It's not like they're harming anyone.

  • People generally don't connect the words pregnancy and death. They connect the word pregnancy with baby.

    People slut shame because they assume the girl has no self respect or sense of self value, and if she has no value then she's worthless. Which makes her weak, which allows people to feel the need to demonstrate their dominance over her, by picking on what took her value down in the first place.

    I personally don't believe anyone has value. We are people not products, but on an instinctual level, this is how slut-shaming and most bullying for that matter works.

    • And if you have sex, you're running the risk of pregnancy, and sluts have a lot of sex. Pregnancy can lead to death. In conclusion, people slut-shame because sluts run the risk of death over and over again, showing no self-respect.

    • I can see that you're stuck on a connection. Yes you run the risk of dying during labour but people generally don't think of that when they call someone a slut. In fact half the time people slit shame their victim isn't even a slut. It has nothing to do with running the risk of pregnancy.

    • I agree, it doesn't only happen to sluts. I've seen very classy girls get slut shamed. But if a girl gets pregnant at a young age, some people figure she's a slut who slept with a lot of boys, and got pregnant. It's bullies who do this, but it happens nonetheless. I know not all slut-shamers do this, but a lot of them do, because they want to use anything to tear other people down.

  • The best way in my opinion to minimize to eliminate slut shaming, is to only get with guys, that you feel in your gut, are mature enough to not blab about your private sexual acts.

  • I agree with this take but I don't think people slut shame because there is a possibility that a woman can die in labour. They do it because women are supposed to be seen as "pure" and of course sleeping around is "impure".

    • That's right, but since she's likely to die, people don't think she cares about herself. Therefore, they slut-shame her.

  • Just to let you know guys do slut shame they just don't really say anything out in the open. Like it is more of an inner circle thing not a open rumorous thing. I myself do not partake in this act because I literally don't care. As well don't take this as me liking slutty women because I don't particularly do. I mean I don't really care, but I don't go looking for them. With me it is like if I really like you personality wise I really don't care what you have done just about what you are going to do.

  • Don't tell everyone who you sleep with. Problem solved. That was easy.

  • The whole notion of slut shaming is just a way for feminists to encourage promiscuity among womenvand eliminate consequences.

    Action: you sleep around, because you have no emotional conmecrion with sex.

    Consequence: people hear about this, and call you a slut. Men dont want to date you because they realize it will end badly.

    Women ALWAYS had the option to be a slut, but everyone needs to learn to accept consequences of their actions.

  • Trust me sweetie, people who slut shame don't do it because you can get pregnant and die during labor. They don't have that kind of concern for you. I know quite a few guys who slut shame and they do it because they can't be sluts too. A friend of mine thinks any girl who rejects him is a slut - the fact that she won't sleep with him but have options of sleeping with someone else makes him angry so he uses the insult to make himself feel better. Personally I don't care about other people's sex lives. It's none of my business.

    • If you're willing to sleep around, you're likely to get pregnant. If you're likely to get pregnant, you're likely to die in labor. If you know that and still sleep around, people think you have no self-respect, and they bully you for it.

    • I know girls who sleep around can get easily pregnant, but I know how guys think and the reason they're shaming others is not the risk of pregnancy. The motivation behind it is something else entirely. It would be great if people were actually concerned with other's self-respect though, and if they actually tried to help those who lack it instead of treating them as disgusting. Shaming doesn't help anyone.

    • I've seen people slut shame girls because they can get pregnant. As I said in the mytake, women slut shame more than men. I know how girls think, and for some reason, most of us would rather tear each other down for having no self respect than help each other.
