Shit I Find Obvious About GAG.

Just....read the title if you can't figure out what this is about....

Shit I Find Obvious About GAG.

The pros:

More viewpoints.

GAG allows more viewpoints of questions.

Allows people to show their creativity.

People can write (mytakes) and post questions/takes that show off whatever they're talented at (drawing/painting, a musical instrument etc)

Meeting more people.

I've certainly met friends on here I'd never wanna lose (@WhatTheHellAmy @Yumix @Noxifer626 ) and other people whom I look up to like family or a role model (@redeyemindtricks @Spiorad_Aisce )

Something to do.

It gives us shit to do on our free time.

We can help others.

We can provide more insights and advice to help other people in life.

Shit I Find Obvious About GAG.

Cons:
The sensitive people.

GAG is full of sensitive people, and it's quite annoying.

Argumentative people.

People on here are very argumentative, whether it's feminists, misogynists etc

The "updates"...

No need to explain.

Shit I Find Obvious About GAG.

Insensitive/rude people.

"oh just STOP feeling this feeling"

or "you're weird for being a virgin @ 21"

or "mental illnesses are made up"

They don't listen to our complaints/suggestions.

It seems as if GAG doesn't really listen to our complaints *cough* the closing of questions* cough*

or our suggestions *cough* bringing back the downvote *cough*

Also a suggestion I have is to limit the amount of times a member can go anonymous on quetions/my takes/opinions every 24 hrs.

The complaints about GAGgers never having lives;

I have something to say about this.

I have a life. I'm an active GAG member. I write about 12 mytakes a week so far, I post questions and answer a fair amount whenever possible. I might even lose my virginity soon, I have good grades in school yet I'm still being a very active member on here + talking to people + helping people out.

GAG can be a bit much sometimes, but it's something I'd have no idea what to do if I didn't have.

Okay, always happy to be a role model for what not to do (Joking) - Thank you for kind mention. I don't know what has happened but somewhere along the line I have taking the GaG community phrase a bit too literally, it has become like a little town to me, a second hometown if you will.
A quick scroll through your take
    PROS
    (1) More viewpoints - Yes, it opens your mind everyday and you nearly always learn something new
    (2) Creativity - Nice to see other peoples' work and sometimes inspires you to produce something
    (3) Meeting people - Yes, I know what you mean, half of them don't even know it but I do enjoy interacting with them. Role models/friends there is a lot of people whose input I admire, respect, want to read even look forward to seeing on here.
    (4) Something to do - Well that was Captain Obvious
    (5) Help - You forgot they can help us as well
EXTRAS - Don't know about you but it has made me feel more confident, self aware, more inclusive and also feel more included.
    CONS
    (1) I have a severe allergy to drama so I scream "Think of the children" and hide under the duvet when it starts so I miss most of it.
    (2) See (1)
    (3) To be honest updates rarely affect my usage style, I rarely asked questions or used downvotes or even upvotes except on my questions to give people points.
    (4) Unfortunately another Captain Obvious but why are people like this?
    (5) I think GaG suffers from being a large organisation, it is a bit unwieldy, to counteract some things proves a big inconvienence. To explain it where I work a lot of the civil service has been centralised into one HR unit and it produces rules and in our office say rule 15(c) is a bit awkward but if they were to change it for us, it would send waves through the whole civil service, you get my drift. In essence while I don't support GaG policy 100% it is more good than bad.
    (6) Having lives - I have mixed emotions about this because it is a bit true for me but I really enjoy my time on GaG (most of the time) so what is wrong with that.
    Is this still revelant?
