Now, before we begin, this isn't meant to slam conservatives (but it probably will in the end, let's be honest), this is just to express why I'm a liberal and a devout liberal too.

The news is not out trying to make Trump look bad. He really did all of the terrible things that he did (and even admitted to it) and just because your candidate did something nasty doesn't mean you can just blame the media or tell us liberals that we never do our research and we just allow the media to spoon feed us information when, in truth, conservative are the ones allowing themselves to be spoon fed information when Trump and his supporters tell you all news that tells us that he is doing bad stuff is "fake". I'm not saying that fake news doesn't exist (after all, look at many living people were reported as dead), but if there was fake news, I guarantee that it would be hard to keep up the lie since:

A. Different news stations and sources have different beliefs (whether political like Conservative, Liberal, etc. or religious like Christian, Atheist, etc).

B. There are multiple news stations and other news sources so if one news station is lying, they can and will be found out and would suffer severe consequences for their lies.

I Care About Other People

I believe very passionately in LGBT rights (more on this later) and caring for the poor and for veterans (disabled or otherwise). Conservatives, I find, only seem to get offended whenever these issues are even mentioned like there could actually be men who want to marry another man! On top of that, the conservatives also seem to believe that the poor are just lazy drug addicts who are wasting their tax dollars.

Yes, I'm a liberal Christian that believes in God, Jesus, and things like women's and LGBT rights. I'm a Christan because I believe that Jesus is the savior who died on the cross so that we can all enter Heaven if we love one another, help those less fortunate than we are, and not to judge others. Conservatives believe the complete opposite and still claim to be "Christians" when, in truth, all that they are doing is giving their fellow Christians (and conservatives) a bad name. I'm sorry that I had to talk about religion while talking about politics, but I felt it was necessary.

I understand that not all U.S. Citizens are Christians (and that's one of the reasons I love this country). Conservatives assume that everyone is a Christian and that we ALL must obey Christian laws. This is why they are against things like gay marriage and abortion. They need to understand that not everyone in America is a Christian and we need to keep the Bible out of the constitution.

I'm Not Easily Offended For The Wrong Reasons

The conservatives claim that liberals are easily offended, but what I found was that we liberals are offended when someone else's feelings may be hurt because of the nasty comments by conservatives or even just that we may be not being tactful enough towards a culture to which we are not familiar. Conservatives get offended whenever someone else lives differently than they do or if someone tries to help make others feel included. If someone is gay, it should not bother you. If someone is transgender, it should not bother you. If someone is an immigrant, it should not bother you. If someone is not a Christian, it should not bother you. If a woman had an abortion, it should not bother you.

Okay conservatives, time for a shocking piece of news. Are you ready? Women have sex drives just like men. Yes, I know it probably put you in the hospital to learn this, but it's true. However, you better have the doctor get the defibrillator ready when I tell you this: Not all women want to be mothers! I apologize for giving you your second heart attack from this, but you had to learn somehow. When you are against birth control and abortion on the grounds that it "goes against God" (yet, you have no problem with men taking Viagra), you prove to be so far in the past that you believe all women are good for is the birthing machine and you make the term "conservative female" either an oxymoron or tragic irony. Also, if you deny a woman her rights to birth control and abortion, you make women not want to have sex, even in marriage so you have to resort to rape (which is of course no problem to your kind since it's always the victim's fault).

You believe that everything should be banned except for your precious guns! You believe that women should have birth control or an emergency rape kit to prevent pregnancy yet you believe men should be allowed viagra. You claim the liberals are easily offended yet you boycott a company because they show ads with a gay couple. You want Muslims to be banned from the country on the grounds that there should no immigrates allowed in America yet you are okay with others (i.e. The Chinese (the country of which the majority of immigrants come from)) coming to America. So far, every conservative I've met has been a hypocrite of some kind. I want to think there is one out there that isn't, but I have yet to find one.

I don't believe that all Muslims are evil terrorists, I don't believe that war is the best way to solve our problems, and I don't believe in "fake news". But I do believe that what a woman does with her own body is her own choice, I do believe that all are welcome in my land, and I do believe that everyone deserves to be treated with kindness and respect. Whenever I see a conservative expressing their beliefs, I die a little inside as I hear them say nasty things about people they've never even met just because they are from a different country, have a different religion, skin color, sexual orientation, any number of things that would make a conservative think of them as the devil. I'm a liberal because I believe in kindness, generosity, the rights of others, a better America and, one day, a better world.

You can call me a "damn snowflake" but I will wear that "insult" like a badge of honor.

A very simple eg, think about your current salary. Can you support 3 other persons based on the money you make?

  • I'm a liberal because I thinks a welfare system is the best solution. I believe everybody deserves a chance and that's not people's fault if they gets too sick/injured/old to work. I thinks people in a country should contribute through taxes and help each other. A welfare system also gives free education and health care. The survival of the fittest is a old fashioned mindset in my opinion. We doesn't live in the past anymore and humans have evolved, so we doesn't need to be like other animals. We're capable to think ethic, conscience, philosophy and care about others.

    i think that, if your god could see the atrocities being committed in his name by his fundie followers, he'd be very disappointed and sad... i'm pretty sure that the phrase "love thy neightbour" isn't followed by "only if they're straight/white/christian", and i'm always happy ot meet someone who actually practices what their religion preaches instead of twisting scripture to suit their own agenda.

  • I disagree with you. I think you are a liberal because you are a genuinely kind and caring person, something that the left seems to align with. But the reason why I disagree with you is because of the fact that, you don't align as much with the left as you say you do. The parties are becoming more and more radical, and what both Trump and Sanders were attempting to do was uproot that and create something new. Hillary won the nomination, and she subsequently lost to Trump, I foretold that since week 2 of the presidential campaign. Why? Everyone is angry. No one wants "the same ditz from the Obama administration" because that administration was unable to get things done. Trump sold himself as someone who gets things done.

    Back to my point: which is, the right and left wing agree with you, but honestly the views you express are of someone who doesn't necessarily have a bias. I'd venture to argue that you are more humanitarian and egalitarian than a womens rights supporter or a liberal.

    I mean personally I hate the very notion of political parties but what the hell.

  • 1. Well what you believe and what is are two very different things. We know objectively that the media was in fact producing fake news. This itself has been proven mutliple times. We know for instance that the parent company of CNN donated massively to Clintons campaign and then once they had done so immediatley retraced negative statements about Clinton (for instance how Clinton laughed about getting a rapist off which they did a whole segment on the year before but when it was brought up again by a conservative during the election Don Lemon stated that it was provably false that it never happened and he ignored CNN's own reporting.) We know that questions where leaked to Clinton by the media, the media asked her and her staff what questiones to ask Trump etc. So whether you like trump or not is irrelevent because this is proven fact. Their is no debating it unless you have no qualms about arguing against the truth (which is not an argument you can win). None of them where really punished for their lies as 90% of all media and journalist are liberal and the very few conservative media groups are disparaged and ignored. The only negative consequence is that half of the population doesn't trust the media and between the ages of 18-49 about 35% of them trust the media.

    2. Liberals do not care about others, the fact is it is the welfare programs that have destroyed the black communities, thats why conservatives are saying we need to get rid of them to avoid taxing people into oblivion and making people dependent on welfare as if they have the option of working more and getting a raise which will make them lose the substantially greater welfare check they will opt not to because it will make their lives harder not easier. By removing welfare not only do you remove the taxes that hurt the poor but you also incentivise them to actually work hard as they now have the ability to earn money and actually keep it as if they did so with welfare once they move to a higher tax bracket they get hit so hard they end up back in poverty again.

    • Trump himself has defended the LGBT community, conservatives in general never showed animosity towards them to begin with, they never created laws to hurt them all they argued was that marriage was between a man and a woman (which is a reasonable argument as it is a reproductive contract NOT a declaration of love) which is why conservatives where for civil unions which confered the same benefits as marriage. Trump himself actually skipped a debate in order to attend a fund raiser he created for veterans meanwhile Obama and Clinton both have bombed about 10 different countries and have not done anything to benefit veterans in any way. So again, no, in fact every racist law ever created was created by democrats, this is factually accurate and not just an insult thrown towards liberals (unlike what you have done for conservatives).

Conservatives also believe in loving your neighbor, thats why when liberal programs created the poor and disinfranchised and liberal cities are populated with the most poor and greatest violence (again this is a statistical fact) they have called liberals out on that. They believe in the individuals right to a better life if they choose to fight for it not the stealing of others hard work to be handed out to whom ever wants it. They believe in personal responsibility and accountability and the right of the individual to be the master of their own destiny. In fact conservatives donate larger quantities of money to charity then liberals do and more often (again statistically accurate not opinion). As for women, women not only have equal rights but in fact have unequal rights that is more rights then men do so thats not even an argument.

It was christians who drafted the constitution, the religious who decided that we needed to separate church and state (in fact the first group to do so). So what laws did conservatives pass or attempt to pass that where religious in nature? 5. No. LIberals are offended by everything period. Thats not even debatable. Your concerned by other peoples feelings? Then why have you done nothing but insult and deride an entire group of people in your mytake? Clearly its not that you care about others feelings its that you only care about your ideology.

    Jesus never told you to give Caesar the task that was yours only. Jesus never told you that stealing was okay. Jesus never told you not to carry a weapon. Jesus never punished anyone for the sin of their fathers, but many on your side believe in 'historic debt'. Jesus never wanted to relate to politics, because his change is spiritual, not political or economic. No system will change mankind and no system will create an equality-oriented paradise. You dont believe in Jesus. You believe in the transformation of mankind's nature and in a man-made material Heaven.

There are multiple non-religious reasons to be against it, both legal and philosophical. Second, we dont presume everyone is a christian, but western civilization is built on greek philosophy, roman law and christian values. If you go directly against christian values - not beliefs, values -, you go directly against western civilization as a whole. Third, the US Constitution is significantly based on christian values. If you go against those values, you're going against its basis and against the very God you pretend to believe in. In truth, you dont want a laic state. You want an atheist state, where religion cannot affect morality, and thus, policy.

  • If you cared about people, then you would not be trying to take their money to use it for reasons you deem preferable to their own choices. You also wouldn't be promoting policies that keep people dependent, but would be encouraging them to become independent. You don't care about people, you want to control people.

    Liberals are necessarily hypocrites. They do things like increase the cost of energy, when they live along a mild weather coast, while lower income people who live in the heat of the desert are the ones to pay.

    Every liberal I have met is ignorant. They do things like call modern sporting rifles, "military weapons" or "assault rifles". When something isn't working, their answer is to spend more money on it.

  • Most of my views are on the right. Having said that, I can appreciate the effort and thought that went into this take. I could debate you on some of what was mentioned on here if you like.

    I think political views are the embodiment of our personal values. Personal values are literally the accumulation of our life experiences, upbringing, demographics, etc.. No one is right or wrong on an absolute level and if someone thinks they are, then they have completely deviated from what one would consider rational thought.

    I think we as a society need to come to the realization that both parties are needed, and to also recognize that no one on the radical side of the spectrum is ever really correct. An equilibrium of such balances our values as a whole in a way that is rational and tolerable to everyone in a governed society.

    Just for fun, I would like to add some things about Conservatives that should be obvious. They say Liberals are easily offended - yet they are the ones who are offended by every irrational thing like someone having a different sexuality, religion, speaking a different language, using the "wrong" term for a holiday, the way "kids these days" talk or dress or wear their hair, etc - you covered this one well.

    Also, Conservatives call Liberals "Snowflake" because Liberals are supposedly timid creatures, yet Conservatives are the ones who are afraid of everything, like different races, religions, social trends, LGBT etc people using the "wrong" bathroom etc.

    Also, they believe that Liberals support both LGBT and women's rights, and Muslims, to the extent where Liberals apparently want a Muslims State or something. No, Liberals clearly do not support a Muslim State. They may or may not support freedom of religion. In Muslim states, they kill LGBT people. Islam has almost identical beliefs and values to Christianity, in all things. You cannot support the ideology of one while also supporting women's rights or LGBT rights. The Muslim extremists we hear about are just putting one part of the scripture over others, and Christians could do the same if they wanted, and have and do in other times and places. In the Middle East, Conservatives ARE Muslims. Here in the West, they are Christians. They both believe women are second class citizens, that being gay or transgender is a sin and a crime, that faith is more important than reason or science. They both believe that there should not be a social support network. They both believe in the same God. Allah, Yahweh, Jehovah - same imaginary tyrant creator dude, there are a bunch of names for this guy in different languages.

    Now, if anyone made it through that without thinking I must be a bleeding heart and a Hillary voter, here is why I am not. I believe that we have the right to live without Government overreach. I believe that we have the right to bear arms, like literally any. I believe that we have the right to defend ourselves, and be self-sufficient if we want to. I do not believe in most licenses, for commercial or other purposes. If you can do something, you should be able to do it, and make a living at it, without a license. If something bad happens, that's for you and your neighbors to work out.

  • i used to think liberals are good people but i've come to realize they are naive and rather dumb not smart at all, they hide behind " we're all humans " yea no one wnats war thats not a good thing but being dumb beyond belief is not they way to go either
